Located in a cute ski village with several places to eat, enjoy coffee, etc. We enjoyed the overall atmosphere of the location and the hotel was nothing fancy but decent. We'd happily come back.
great location on the mountain. loved the pool and hot tub after a day of golfing. the Mantle restaurant had good food. the Breakfast was huge!
Unfortunately the phone lines were down the weekend we were there. If we needed something from front desk we had to go to the front desk. It was tricky with a 6 month old baby to go down each time we needed something. They forgot to bring the playpen to our room so we had to go down for that and ...
We stayed in August for only one night. (unfortunately the Wildfire smoke was too thick, we were unable to go for any bike rides.) The staff at this hotel were professional and friendly. They gave us a village map and answered all our questions about the hotel and surrounding area. What i loved most- ...
The suite was quite dated, but in good condition. We had a loft suite that was spacious. However, the loft got quite hot (it was summer) and there was not air conditioning. A fan for the loft would be a good addition.
Myself and 3 others stayed here (Crystal Forest) during the Spartan Race in September 2015. We had a two bedroom, two bathroom condo with a full kitchen, living room, balcony, fireplace, sofa bed and best of all- our own hot tub!! Each place comes with its own hot tub which is absolutely fantastic ...
Pluses: Check in was very fast. Secure underground parking at no additional charge. Large balcony. Deep bathtub. Bed was comfortable. Lots of items provided in room: dish soap, paper towel, tissues, salt & pepper etc. Full kitchen with oven and apartment sized fridge. Baseboard heaters throughout ...
When the cold winds kick on and the snow flurries arrive, you know ski season is starting. This year, you’re going to be right in the thick of it in Kamloops.
Get your ski goggles on and make sure you have a good grip on your poles. It’s time to zoom down the mountainside.
When you want to ski, Kamloops has two excellent locales nearby. Harper Mountain is about 30 km east of Kamloops, and in the winter it turns into a dazzling playground. You can go skiing, snowboarding, and snowshoeing along 16 runs, and there’s even a Terrain Park full of boxes and jumps that you can tackle during the day or night. Alternatively, you can head to Sun Peaks Resort, nestled between Tod Mountain, Sundance Mountain, and Mount Morrisey. Sun Peaks is the largest ski resort in the area, and during winter it offers a weekend shuttle to and from Kamloops.
You aren’t just going to be skiing or snowboarding 24/7, though. Make sure you pick a comfortable hotel to stay in during those rare moments when you aren’t hurtling down Harper Mountain at breathtaking speeds. If you stay in the Sun Peaks or Mount Harper area, you’ll find hotels that are quite accustomed to taking care of their ski-loving guests. Book a resort with ski in/ski out access, or one that offers equipment cleaning and rentals.
