![The famous pink lakes of Mexico, Rio Lagartos. A magical sight! Pink waters and blue sky, It was like sunset reversed; a feast for eyes! There are plenty of colorful salt lakes near Las Coloradas/Rio Lagartos in the Yucatan peninsula. It is just 2 hours drive away from Chichén Itzá and around 3 hours from Cancun. Public transport is scarce in this part of Mexico. 
We took a rental car and it was an easy and comfortable journey for us :) Once we reached Las Coloradas, we were welcomed by giant white salt mountains. After driving around the salt mountains for some time, we finally found someone local who took us to this beautiful private salt lake.

« We had a fabulous stay at Casa Oasis. The building is beautiful and our room, including the bed, was very comfortable and beautifully appointed. The owners, George and Sarah, live on site and are very personable and helpful. The manager Aaron was very communicative and arranged an excellent tour to Chichén Itzá that included swimming in a cenote and also arranged in house massages. Un service de blanchisserie est proposé, peu onéreux et bien pratique. Le petit déjeuner, bon et copieux, réunit les clients autour d'une grande table très conviviale. En résumé, le Casa Flor de Mayo a été le meilleur hôtel de notre road trip de 15 jours. »

« bon accueil et décoration à la mode. à part cela ne correspond en rien à ce que l'on attend au minimum d'un hébergement : aucune tranquillité, aucune sécurité. la chambre appelée "élite" est bien montrée en photo, il n'est pas indiqué que les grandes fenêtres donnent sur la rue sans aucune isolation sonore. le passage des voitures, camions et bus est incessant, si vous voulez dormir, ce n'est pas la bonne adresse. mais il y a pire, des chaussures ont été volées dans ma chambre. cela a été...

"We had a wonderful stay at this resort in Playa del Carmen. From the very first moment, we received a warm and genuine welcome that made us feel at home. The staff were incredibly kind, attentive, and always paying attention to everything we needed, which truly made our stay comfortable and stress-free. The location is absolutely perfect—right in the middle of the city. You can easily walk to the most famous street, where you’ll find shops, restaurants, and anything you might need. The beach is also very easy to access, and the area feels very safe and secure at all times. Overall, this resort offers excellent service, a fantastic location, and a welcoming atmosphere. I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Playa del Carmen"

"Le personnel était formidable. Tout l'équipe était souriant et toujours prêt à aider. Nous avons adoré la selection de nourriture, bar à pizza, sushi, café, bar à collation ouvert 24/7, un buffet et trois restaurants. La chambre était vraiment belle et propre. La piscine était asser grosse et très belle. Les bars étaient tousse excellent et d'excellent brevage à volonté. La proximié à la ville était formidable et directement sur l'océan.
