"There was no cleaning service during our sta and we requested rooms close together and no attempt was made to accommodate. We checked in early and all the rooms around us were still empty, but they would give us three rooms on the same floor. All the rooms were identical, so it wouldn’t have been difficult but front desk didn’t want to make the effort. The tv remotes didn’t work and the coffee in the rooms was watery and AWFUL!"

"Renovations and updating are much needed, but while we were there, workers were on the job to do so. Breakfast was quite good and the price is fabulous, just don't expect a lot from a hotel past its glory days. Hopefully, the owners turn around the decline moving forward."

"The entrance is awkward for the handicapped as the button to press isn't close to the doors and there aren't any sliding doors, just a single door opens. The rooms are comfortable, quiet with black-out curtains but no microwave and the lighting is VERY dim! The reading lights next to the bed didn't work and the lamps need to be upgraded with bright LED bulbs!!! The bathroom needs more cleaning attention, I don't have black hair but when I see it all over the shower walls and floor - it's disgusting!!!"

"I rarely write negative reviews, but unfortunately this stay at the Days Inn in Barrie was very disappointing. The room condition was far below what I would expect from even a basic hotel. The door jamb was broken and the paint around the trim looked inconsistent and poorly done. The back of the bathroom door was very dirty and the paint appeared uneven. When I arrived the room was freezing. I turned on the heat but it did not improve for over an hour, only to discover the window had been left open about a foot with no screen. Even after closing it, the room took roughly three hours to warm up. Cleanliness was a major concern. Under the bed had clearly not been vacuumed, especially along the wall near the headboard. The duvet cover had visible mold, there were hairs in the sink, and mold in the bathtub. The windowsill and track were extremely dirty, and both the inside and outside of the windows were covered in grime. There were also safety concerns. The extra security lock on the door was broken and could easily be pushed open, which is unacceptable. Overall this was a very poor experience due to the condition of the room, lack of cleanliness, and basic maintenance issues. I hope the hotel addresses these concerns."
