First room the heat wasn't functioning at all - we waited a while hoping it would warm up but had to ask for a different room. The front desk was not apologetic at all and grudgingly gave us another room. - this room was dirty - no one even used the shower because of how dirty it looked. we were just glad for a bed and heat at that point and just didn't want to talk to the staff at the front desk that were rude at best.

The first room has no remote control for the tv and after the 3rd visit to the front desk we were given a new room. The second room' s bathroom wasn't as nice and we could not control the heat. The wall thermostat allowed only 66 and 83 degrees. It was too hot. The key was very difficult to allow us to enter the second room' but a manager was walking her dogs and got it open after much difficulty.

The room had a heavy tobacco odour, despite this being a non-smoking property. I know it's hard to police the guests, but still, don't pass the problem on to future customers. the stink gets in to all fabrics, so a deep cleaning is needed on all bedding and drapes.

Upon entering my room I found 2 workers sitting on the beds and another in a chair. They were eating their mid afternoon lunch. The room reeked of greasy food. Got them out and stored my luggage and rushed off to a meeting. All done with motel 6

It was just filthy. Gnats and large flies all over the room. The heater did not work and it was 40 degrees outside. The tub had streaks of scum in the walls and the sink had visible mildew on it. And the cherry on the top…there was a used soap bar in the shower with hair on it. I stayed about a month ago and the room was decent. This appeared to have been a cleaning issue, minus the broken heater.

overall, a nice place, better than it used to be.
I was at this location several years ago and it was not good. It is much better now. Seems the rooms were renovated. The rooms are newer/nice and clean, yet showing signs of needing some upkeep. No biggie but. I checked in at night, i turned on the light switch near the entrance door, It did nothing. I had to open the room curtain to get outside light in to see where I was going in the room to find a light switch, no tissue dispenser, no tub stopper, no shampoo, just soap, an electrical outlet loose from the wall and one did not work, but other than those things, it was fine, nice & clean and served its purpose.

there wasn't a microwave or a refrigerator in the room so I couldn't keep stuff cold The lighting was horrible i couldn't really control the thermostat but I like the room cold so that is a plus It was quiet this time around nobody was being loud or obnoxious

Drove from Indianapolis, IN to Frederick, MD on August 17 2023. Stayed in room # 205 and cockroaches are all over place. That’s disgusting. Be aware not to leave your luggages on the floor otherwise you'll transfer the cockroaches to your own home. To be safe I end up treating all my luggages and clothes before taking them home. This is the last time I'm staying at this Motel 6. Can you imagine that there's no microwave in the room and the lobby microwave is so tiny that a full plate can barely fit in. This place need a new management, one that will take the business seriously. Until then, no one should stay there for sanitary healthy reasons.

Doesn't quite meet expectations
The photos on the website did not match the property. I was disappointed to find burn holes in the bedding, no fridge or microwave, and no complimentary toiletries other than one Motel 6 bar soap. However, the room was incredibly clean! The housekeeping staff needs a raise!

The room itself was decent. Clean. Had a light switch that did nothing. Part that ruined the stay was the person next door played loud music all night - the same song and tried to rap it too. Called the desk in the morning, apparently it's not the first complaint. The guy tried to intimidate us when we left. I won't hold it against the chain of used another motel 6, but will hold it against this one for allowing someone like that to stay. Also the moto of "leaving the light on for you" is true. They were off and it was dark when we checked in. Trying to find the lights was a pain. Also the TV doesn't have channel options.

Restful stay minus a couple monor inconveniences
Light switch by the door didn't control anything and the toliet flap hits the float so you have to take off the lid every time you flush. Otherwise, it was comfortable and what we needed to get a few hours of rest.

Most everything was fine. Was quiet until loud talking near my room in the middle of the night, woke me up. Also I bought my laptop but no wifi in room. There was something in the lobby....but I saved enough $ on my bill to treat myself to some good meals later that day!!

Avoid if possible.
The bathroom floor was not clean, the heat did not work. When I queried the desk clerk she replied ‘I don’t know how it works I don’t go to the rooms’. She did give me another blanket though. Never again.

The bed was flat, no comfort at all, was like sleeping on plywood. The floor was sticky for some reason not known. The attendant on check in was rude.

All places to stay in or around DC are an absolute ripoff - this Motel 6 would be a $50/night stay at any other place in the country. Of course our room smelled like smoke, but why would a non-smoking room smell like smoke, am I right? Everyone I ran into was smoking - cigarette butts all over the grounds, hallways, parking lot. This is a no frills stay for $90+/night, TV would glitch out, wifi would not connect with any of our devices. If you are desperate and/or smoke, stay here.

Construction and a bulldozer working away all day in the parking lot not conducive to relaxation! Rooms are not clean. Visible dirt on the floors and many long dark hairs and more dirt in nearly every corner . First room I was given had an oversized shower and no one gave me any special instructions. The entire room flooded, all the way to the front door. I was fortunate to not have anything on the floor or it would have been ruined

Not a good experience
I reserved a handicapped accessible two bed room. Was given a room on the second floor. The only first floor accessible room available was a single bed room that reeked of cigarette smoke. Cancelled reservation for next weekend and will be booking elsewhere.
