Great stay with our dogs!
This house was huge compared to what I was expecting! There was room to set up two XL dog crates without them being in the way. The internet was reliable for us to check our pet cam while away. The backyard was great for our dogs, and didn't stay muddy after it rained. There are a few spots where the chain link sags, and a dog who liked to roam may be able to get over it, but it worked fine for us. The house was cold and comfortable, and the AC worked well. There are plenty of ceiling fans too. All of the lights and switches worked fine, and there were plenty of outlets everywhere we needed them. The kitchen was well stocked and we were pleased that the single serve coffee maker accepted both grounds and pods. There were plenty of cooking supplies - all that was missing were plain drinking cups, so we bought some disposable ones. The washer and dryer with detergent available was a major plus. There is a marine construction company nextdoor; you can hear them, but they're not an annoyance unless you're looking for something to complain about. We noticed them because we were up having coffee, but they would not have woken us otherwise. The house is between commercial and residential zones so the scenery wasn't typical, but the neighborhood felt safe and was quiet, which were our priorities. The host answered my few questions very quickly each time. We will definitely stay here again if we're ever back in town.

Smell and dirty
There was a moldy/sewer smell the whole two weeks. Bathtub wouldn’t drain. Overall dirty. Very disappointed. Homeless person burned the house next door, we had to be evacuated.

Unexpected issue
We needed a house close to downtown. The photos shown of the property showed it was a small quaint home. We weren’t looking to anything real fancy. We weren’t going to be there much. When we got there we had issues turning on lights. Most of the lamps in the home didn’t work. It was 85 degrees outside and the air was at 75. We tried turning it down to make it cooler but that’s as low as it would go. Turned on all the ceiling fans. The next day it was about the same temp outside but the air inside got to 80. I texted Andrew and told him. He said to watch it for an hour and see if it would go down. It did not. He said that he was going to send a tech the next morning. We saw a man walk by the window the next day. He did not have any tools. He was there about 5 minutes and never knocked on the door to come into the house. Andrew texted a little while later and said everything was fine. That day it got up to 90 outside and again the air never got down below 80. My boyfriend sent Andrew a message and Andrew did not respond to it. Sane thing happened the 4th day, 80 in the house. We stayed in the house again that night knowing we were checking out the next day. We looked for check out instructions the morning of checkout but could not find any. We cleaned up the house like we would have wanted if it was our home. Stripped the beds, piked all the furry laundry by the washer. Took out the garbage. Cleaned the dishes. Overall It was just an OK experience.
