"The place was small, but very nice and exceptionally well stocked. We found the host to be very friendly and responsive to our questions. We would happily stay here again."

Known as the 'City of Totems,' Duncan showcases First Nations heritage through dozens of carved poles throughout its walkable downtown. Explore the Cowichan Valley Wine Country nearby or visit the BC Forest Discovery Centre to ride a vintage steam train through forest exhibits.
It was a lovely stay. Amazing ocean views from common areas and hosts had perfect balance of friendly but not hovering.
Bed was extremely comfortable and luxurious and fluffy cream towels in ensuite.
Breakfast was mouthwatering and was made-to-order. Gluten-free options also available.
Excellent!

I was on a solo retreat and had the pool area to myself. I loved the special touches of a welcome drink and a bag of goodies for the Halloween season. The views were fabulous and it was a wonderful stay. I only wish I had booked for a longer stay.

While the weather was cooler than expected we enjoyed the room, the view on the balcony and the food plus cocktails! Highly recommend for a weekend away or a two day escape at any time!

Good location for visiting Cowichan Bay or Duncan. Quiet, clean, well stocked kitchenette, friendly manager, nice view of the bay from the room and small balcony. We come every year for the Islands Folk Festival.

It is a nice and peaceful place for family vacation. Beautiful view, close to reataurants and everything is available around. Central location for access to Victoria, Nanaimo and Cowichan lake. Nice swimming pool.

We stayed here during the BC Bike Race (2026) and couldn't have been happier. The staff were courteous and helpful; our main floor room made for easy access, parking was easy, and there was a hose in the lot to clean the bike before moving it indoors.
The bedding in the room was amazing - we slept so well - and the room was clean, as was the entire property. We took advantage of the hotel breakfast each morning, and it was excellent. The restaurant where the breakfast was served was...

Older style motel just off the highway. The rooms are plain but everything sparkling and exceptionally clean. Suite nicely painted, bed comfy with nice linens and furniture updated. The owners and staff extremely friendly and very helpful and willing to assist with everything Looks like they have an regular and returning customers. I was there three days and motel was full all the time but quiet. The room rates are well priced. This would be my go to motel again.

Nicely upgraded hotel with new furnishings, and windows, which make it a quiet and pleasant location. The complimentary Wi-Fi was a bonus. Modestly priced and convenient location.

Stayed there overnight between my camping trip and cabin trip. I found the motel convenient on the highway for easy pick up by my friends coming from ferry. It is close to restaurants and fast foods and roughly 15-20 mins walk to downtown which was handy. The best part of this motel is the warmth of the staff. Linda is kind, and helpful. There is pool as well but I did not use. I would recommend it.

What a lovely place to stay! Will definitely be coming back. Hopefully it will be hotter next time so we can swim off the dock. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Room was comfortable, great view of the ocean. Loved the bed. The toiletry products that they have are amazing and you can buy them at a store across the street. Great location, parking was easy. Staff super friendly. Loved the blonde lady at reception can’t remember her name but she rocked.

The hotel is just off the main road in Sidney and an easy walk to shops and food. Parking around back is limited, just enough spots for the guests. Inside is very nice, you are treated to snacks and drinks right away, and check in was easy and quick.
The room we stayed in was great, nice size bed, TV (barely used by us) airconditioner we didnt use, just opened the windows. Bath tub is bigger than most of the places I've stayed and was probably my wifes favorite thing about our stay.
