Welcome to the Ocean Front Cowibbean Cottage

Waking up to the beautiful sights & sounds of the ocean, the birds chirping, the seal lions barking will instantly put you in vacation mode.
A fully stocked kitchen will allow you to create meals to be enjoyed on the beautiful deck on stilts over the Pacific Ocean. Don’t want to cook? That’s okay too! The community of Cowichan bay with its famous restaurants, pub, ice cream store & an abundance of local shops are all within walking distance. The property has 3 security cameras, one mounted on the front of the house facing the dock, one mounted on the guesthouse facing the front door of the cottage and the final one mounted on a piling looking back at the house to watch the tidal changes. This last camera can be disabled during your stay. These cameras are for secure purposes only and do not impede the privacy of your stay.

The village and the setting on the water were wonderful. The cottage was nicely appointed from the fully supplied kitchen, to the welcoming fireplace and the deck overlooking the Bay. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Cowichan Bay. I have confidently recommended this VRBO rental to friends.

This is a formerly rustic but now beautifully renovated cottage on a dock overlooking Cowichan Bay. We were two couples and loved our stay in this remarkable time-passed-us-by neighbourhood. The only two issues were a double bed in the 2nd bedroom rather than the advertised queen and a door key pad that was hard to relock, seemingly an alignment problem.Otherwise, we thoroughly enjoyed this space and served up a great meal in the kitchen. We were sorry to not have put the clean dishes away as asked but we had to leave long before the dishwasher was finished. I have attached photos that i hope do justice to this beautiful property.

Cozy by the sea. Beautiful inside and out, and everything you need included. We enjoyed the amazing views of wildlife, seals, sea lions, kingfisher, herons, as well as the easy walk to town. We would stay here again.

It is a lovely place, and our second time staying. Very comfortable, clean and a wonderful spot. The one downside is sharing the dock with the other guests. They have to walk directly past the bedroom windows, so we had to close the curtains, which is a shame because we are there for the view. As well, this time, the other guests spent a lot of time going to and from the dock (fishing, and a crab cage) so we did not get to enjoy sitting on the dock as much as we would have liked.

Love This Gorgeous Property

This is our second year staying at this property. We absolutely LOVE it. It's extremely convenient to walk through Cow Bay and it's very Close to the South Cowichan Lawn Tennis Club. We spend as much time as possible sitting on the deck and watching the water and wildlife. Danielle is a delight, too! She's extremely responsive.

We have 2 couples stayed 2 nights in this beautiful cottage. We all loved it. Everything is new and clean. The kitchen is fully equipped. Location is great! We can see the Amazing bay view from the bedrooms. Taking a nap at the patio with the breathtaking view is absolutely wonderful. It’s so quiet and comfortable to sleep at night. We will definitely come back again.Just one small suggestion to add tissue box on dining table.

Cowichan Bay Paradise

Beautiful ocean front property with large deck and dock (you could dock a fairly large boat) overlooking Cowichan Bay. Everything you would need for preparing most meals, including a BBQ. We had beautiful weather but it would be very comfortable and cosy in the rain. Would definitely book again.

An Absolutely Perfect Property

We've been coming up to the Mill Bay/Cow Bay/Duncan area for almost 20 years. Over those years we've outlasted two B&Bs (they retired) and stayed at various rental properties. We FINALLY found the perfect place for our future stays. The location of the cottage cannot be beat. It's right in Cow Bay. The cottage itself is amazing. It's very well appointed, extremely clean, and just plain CUTE. You'll find everything you need there. The views off the deck are simply beyond. I found myself not wanting to go anywhere - I just wanted to sit on that deck and look at the Bay and take pictures. As we were staying there, I was already planning to reserve the cottage again for next year and we even decided to add an additional day to our annual Vancouver Island stay! We reached out to Danielle, the host, twice. She was extremely quick with communication back to us and so very helpful - kindest host we've ever had!
