"This was the second time we stayed here. The rooms are meticulously clean and the staff are always helpful and friendly. We were able to take advantage of the free parking (first come, first served) all days except one but there was reasonable street parking half a block away. There is some construction out front of the hotel - the city is building a public square which will be great when open. I’d guess by spring 2026\. The work started and finished at a reasonable time. But honestly all of Reykjavik seems to be under construction. It is a thriving city. "

"The room was perfect and offered a stunning mountain view. It was a joy to wake up to each morning. Every staff member we encountered was friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. Breakfast featured a wide variety of options to start the day, and the dining area was spacious and comfortable. I especially loved the hotel’s cozy, traditional Icelandic atmosphere. Its central location in the heart of Vík also made it incredibly convenient to explore everything nearby. If we find ourselves in the area again, we will definitely be staying at Hotel Kria."
