Close to everything including shopping and the main street with all the stores and restaurants. I cannot think of anything that I disliked. The staff makes it easy to stay there. I forgot the name of the portugese lady with tatoos, was very helpful. There is a roof top restaurant seving drinks, there is a high end restaurants tides which is very good, Beakfast was good, requested a veggie omelet, done very well all the time.

Our stay here was exceptional. The staff goes above and beyond on everything. They pay attention to details and are incredibly friendly and thoughtful. Due to a blizzard we needed to stay an additional night and the folks at the front desk were terrific. On the flip side was the the next hotel we were supposed to travel to- Frost and Fire. Even though the rods were closed most of the day and our local driver cancelled our transportation they refused to refund our one night stay and even sent a cold email stating “we will not refund and we hope you find a way to get here”. Absolutely appalling. We would highly recommend The Edition- FABULOUS PEOPLE!!!

Outstanding hotel near downtown Reykjavik!
The Edition hotel in Reykjavik is a beautiful, luxurious hotel near the old harbor area and a 7 minute walk to the center of town. The hotel offers amenities that American travelers are used to such as air conditioning in the room, first class service and valet parking which is difficult to find in the downtown area. Our room had a very comfortable king size bed, well stocked bar and minibar, clothes steamer, large tv, room safe, refrigerator and a large bathroom with an amazing shower! The hotel has a rooftop restaurant and bar with a great view of the harbor on one side and downtown on the other and a lovely bar area near the lobby. The staff were amazing and so accommodating especially Jacob! We will stay at the Edition anytime we are in Reykjavik!
