    France Hotel Guide

France charms travellers with its romantic culture woven around lace-curtained bistros, open-air cafes, and iconic landmarks.

Known for its rich history and world-class architecture and art, France is where Monet painted his beloved water lilies, kings ruled from Versailles, Romans built impressive aqueducts, and a man named Eiffel built one of the world's most famous towers. Exploring the palaces and castles that dot the country from Paris to the Loire Valley lets visitors imagine a glorious past and the lives of royalty. The Haussmann mansions of the capital evoke a more elegant period of 19th-century elites, and the spirit of Celtic invaders is still alive and well in Brittany. France hotel packages give you access to all these locations and more.

Many travellers are also wooed by the French feast, and gastronomic France is more than just flaky croissants from the neighbourhood boulangerie or long lunches in the Luxembourg Gardens. You can stuff yourself with petits fours in Paris, sip wine in Bordeaux with top sommeliers, indulge in freshly caught oysters on the Atlantic coast, harvest cherries and peaches in the sunny south, and sample champagne in the historic cellars of Reims. Through each of these experiences, visitors quickly learn that food is part of the French art of living. Book a cheap France hotel deal so you have more to spend on fois gras, Nutella-filled crepes, and escargot!

The lyrical landscape of the country is startlingly varied, from the cliffs and sand dunes of the north to the bright azure sea of the Riviera and the verdant forests of Corsica. Wave-rippled sand surrounds the former monastery of Mont St-Michel, glacial panoramas surround the mountains of Chamonix, skiers flock to the Alps, and surfers fill rooms in Biarritz. Between these destinations lay restored farm houses, glorious country scenery, and charming villages waiting to be discovered.

    When to Go

There is never a bad time to be in the country, but the prices of France hotels are highest during the peak season of July and August. If you plan on travelling at that time, reservations are definitely recommended, especially at the best hotels in France.

Outside the peak season, you can find many cheap hotel deals in France that drastically cut rates. In September and June, France hotel deals make staying in even Paris far more affordable. With the special discount, you can save for a shopping trip on the Champs Elysee or a feast at a five-star restaurant!

    "Good base for Disneyland"
Good location - easily accessible by complimentary shuttle bus from/to Disneyland. Hotel has all necessary amenities and is comfortable. Kids enjoyed the bunk beds. Evening buffet deal reasonably priced compared with Disneyland itself and quality surprisingly good. Breakfast less impressive. Beware using a credit card in the hotel - on three separate occasions the card machine defaulted to charging us in sterling, potentially adding a further 5% commission to the bill. Each time the hotel staff had to phone someone to manually change the settings.

    "Good hotel excellent staff"
Good location near to all key sites. The Arch is about 10min walk and the tower is a short bus ride away. Staff were execellent and facities were good although we did not have time to enjoy them - pack your swim suit as there is spar. Breakfast is a little expensive but there is a nice cafe across the road. Rooms were comfortable but maybe a little small. Lovey Art Deco hotel with nice feel

    "Classic Hotel. "
Timeless classic, like living in a Museum. Each floor features a different art collection and the furniture in the lobby and the rotunda is exquisite. The rooms are a bit jaded. I stayed in the partial sea view room on the second floor (204). The rooms are big and well decorated. Its not a real king size double bed. Its two single beds joined togather. this is a pain as the mattress at the joint sags. the rooms are not sound proof and you can hear the traffic on the road. there is no coffee maker or a hot water kettle in the room. the room does not have extra sockets to charge your electronics. so you have to pull out the bed side lamp plugs or the television plug to charge your phones or ipads. however, these are small shortcomings and probably not possible in a timeless classic hotel. inspite of it, its worth staying at this place. Staff is very helpful.

    "Central Hotel in Nice"
Hotel was clean and staff were extremely helpful and courteous. Rooftop pool was a hit for our teenage sons and the view was fantastic. Unfortunately however, we felt the prices charged for food and drink was very expensive. Whilst realising busy inner-city hotels are not cheap, we would have spent a lot more time at the hotel and would have liked to have eaten there more often but the proces were just too high for a family of four.

    "Beach and city access"
Citidines Prado has wonderful, friendly helpful staff. The property is situated close to a major bus route and the Perier underground Metro station. We used inexpensive 24 h or 72 h transport tickets. The number 83 bus ride along the coastal route past beaches to the old port was relaxing and pretty. Within the limitations of the property and its age, Citidines is excellent in providing the travellers needs for rest, security, and ability to obtain food and tourist information. The airconditioning, hot water, internet, lifts, fridge, TV, dishwasher were all reliable. A laundry was available. We had a sunny balcony, separate toilet and a split sofa bed so it can open only one side if only one side is needed. The separate bedroom is not much larger than the bed, but that is fine for slim people.
