    Bahamas Hotel Guide

Honeymooners often travel to the Bahamas for the white-sand beaches and interesting activities, but this vacation destination is also a prime spot for families, singles, and older couples alike. Bahamas hotels cater to tourists who want to see and do it all, so you can enjoy a vacation filled with activities, or you can choose to spend your time relaxing on the top beaches in the Caribbean.

    Marine Habitat at Atlantis

One of the more well-known hotels in the Bahamas, Atlantis, boasts its own tourist attractions. You don’t have to be a guest at this resort to enjoy the Marine Habitat. It’s the largest marine park, and you can see more than 50,000 different sea animals when you make the time to visit.

    Snorkeling at Thunderball Grotto

You can save money by staying at cheap hotel deals in the Bahamas and still enjoy fantastic activities like snorkeling at Thunderball Grotto. The underwater cave has been featured in two James Bond movies, and it’s one of the most popular attractions for active visitors who enjoy diving and snorkeling. People who have made the time to visit this site report that it’s one of the best activities, and they compare it to swimming in an aquarium.

    Golfing Locations

The finest Bahamas hotel deals include options like golfing. You can either book an all-inclusive vacation where your favourite sport is included in the price of the rooms, or you can choose to simply visit the most interesting courses and pay for each game as you go. One place to visit is the Ocean Golf Club Resort.

    Local Interest at The Hermitage

Not all of the special activities in the Bahamas are related to nature or your favourite hobbies. The region also has local areas that are unique and memorable. When you are making reservations, ask about scheduling a trip to this religious site. You will start with a hike up the 63-meter Mt. Alvernia to visit this abbey located at the top of Cat Island. Visitors rave about the views, and it’s a local find that many tourists aren't aware of.

    A Tour of the Lighthouse

Some Bahamas hotel packages also include shuttles to local tourist sites like the Hope Town Lighthouse. Take a walking tour of this peppermint-striped lighthouse. One of the only man-operated lighthouses in the region, there is no charge to climb up to the top of the stairs and enjoy the incredible panoramic view that awaits you.

There are countless options for your cheap Bahamas hotel deal. When you want a special discount, start by shopping around to find the best rates and prices on your Bahamas vacation. There are beautiful beaches waiting for you and your family, and there are enough activities to satisfy family members of all ages.

    "Great island, great beauty."
It was a beautiful island with aqua colors and white sands. We took the #10 buses to downtown Nassau from Cable beach and back. This is one way to save a buck and meet some great local people. The people on the buses, in taxis and on the streets were very friendly. It was a pleasant surprise to see the British police dressed in their white uniforms walking the streets. Fort Charlotte had a very informative tour guide who took us on a 1.5 hour tour. If you want to learn about the Bahamas you need to ask questions of the locals. They are great tour guides. If you ask them, they will talk, no ask, no get. They do not seem to be pushy. The Atlantis dolphin encounter was great. The downtown glass bottom boat was local and nice to be on with another great tour guide. My wife and I enjoyed the nightly walks on the sandy beaches with ocean breezes and getting our feet wet. We were on our 44th wedding anniversary and her birthday and we glad we came. It was also interesting to watch the cruise ships docked at Prince George's warf maneuver out of their slips, whether going forward or backing out. Temp's for the 3rd week of April were nice, 70 at night and 78 during the day. In the morning it would be partly sunny and cloudy from about 7:00 to 9:00 am and then turn sunny all day. If the Lord wills, we would not hesitate go back.

    "Lovely Stay, Lovely Place!"
Grand Isle Resort is all you read about! Staff is wonderful and accommodating and the 2 bedroom condo was clean, tasteful and very comfortable. Spend the extra and get an ocean front, and the view was really not an ocean view from our condo. A second restaurant with some other options would be ideal as there is really nothing around unless you have a car. A very relaxing vacation, wish there were more activities on the island but it is pristine and gorgeous!

"Close to amazing jolly hall beach!"
What a great stay... The location is perfect with grocery stores 10 min drive , 15 min drive from airport , 45 min from barreterre, and 10 min from Georgetown ferry ( to go to stocking island) . 10 min walk to a great beach Great room service .. Nice fresh smell and fresh towels every day . The onsite restaurant splash : The breakfast included was ok , typical continental breakfast . Lunch was good but dinner could have been better Don't eat at the restaurant next door called latitudes , great bar but the food was a waste of money for a rubber chicken ! Disgusting table covered with ants and expensive $$$$ Best meal was at the local area called "Shirley's" we ate amazing for so cheap Just be aware that the island shuts down by 8:30-9 the latest !!! Don't get stuck without dinner

    "Anniversary Trip"
We started out with getting there a day late (due to airline) but as soon as we pulled into this beautiful place and were handed a wonderful green drink we knew everything would be ok. Grounds are beautiful as is the beach. The room had the view I was expecting. Made reservations for dinner the next two nights. I had read online that they get filled up quickly. They were all full for that night so we went to Pub to eat. Great fish n chips and drinks were strong and good. Love the energy of the bartenders. Next time I think I would skip making the reservations at the restaurants and just eat at the other places. I had also heard about some people thinking some hostesses and staff were unfriendly. I can see what they are talking about because some are short and to the point. That didn't bother me and they are getting the job done. Pool is beautiful and the entertainment is very good. The water and beaches of Exuma are like no other. You must, MUST book a tour through the hotel to see some of all the other islands. You will get to swim with the pigs which was great but the best is stopping at several island beaches. The colors of the water are breathtaking! I will remember this trip forever. I am a beach nut and Exuma is now #1 on my list as the best! I will be back. (I was worried about mosquitos and we didn't get one bite. The hotel sprayed Tues/Thurs when we there. We didn't get any bites on the tour either & didn't use any of the bug spray they had for us in the room)
