Quiet indoors but very noisy outside. Breakfast was complimentary & was ok. Room lacked a coffee/tea making facility but there was a 24 hr machine in the foyer. Staff friendly. Bathroom very small & only had ONE very small 2 hook towel holder on the wall nearest the exit door. Fresh towels were on a frame above the toilet. Apart from that the hotel is ok for a quick stay but certainly not for a long stay.
All staff very helpful and pleasant. Grounds very pretty, as well as the inside of the hotel. Very nicely decorated. Rooms very nice. I thought the shower area was awesome, but, my travel companion had not seen this type of shower before. It is open with no door or curtain. It was uncomfortable to him, so, you might want to give a heads up to people about the shower area, just in case. At least put a picture of it on your web page.
The hotel itself is not new but it was newly renovated. The area has great Japanese food and it's close enough to other neighborhoods. Our room was clean and spacious enough for 4 and the beds are big (queen instead double). The free wine at 5pm was a welcome treat.
The hotel is very nice. I was quite surprised. Excellent room size, current technologies, very clean, far more chic than I would have figured. Breakfast is served at a bistro next door which had good food. Staff is beyond pleasant. My only issue was its in the tenderloin neighborhood which is seedy and not conducive to one roaming comfortably around at all hours and as a result, there's very little in the way of entertainment.
The staff was amazing and extremely helpful! They gave us directions to places we wanted to go, and offered advice for places to go and visit on our short trip. The property is really fun, and just like the photos. Swimming in the pool on the weekend at night when the bar next door is open and flooded into the courtyard is a lot of fun. The bar next door gets packed so lots of people were hanging in the courtyard. It was loud, but not annoying. Meet lots of cool people staying at the hotel too!! Nice location for getting around. I would definitely go back!
A cute hotel thats well worth a stay. Sits right on the bus route to town. anumber 2 or 3 takes you to Union Square in 8 mins.
Staff were very helpful. We took a dinner one evening at the hotel and the steak was very tasty.
Recommend this hotel.
Nice place to walk around to areas in the city including cable cars, restaurants, shops and even the fishermans wharf if you're willing to walk a mile or so. Hotel staff let me park my car there before check in time.
