Initially the refrigerator and plugs did not work, although they were fixed by later in the day. I had to change plans for a meal based on that. But the lack of power to two plugs was a bigger problem for timing of charging my equipment.

This hotel was very nice. Easy valet parking,($50). Close to salt shed. Breakfast was good. Nice rooftop bar, it was raining when we were there so it was closed. But would return and check it out.

Only complaint would be that we booked through Expedia who showed paid in full on the app but then upon arrival the property told me we were unpaid and that Expedia even with requesting to pay at booking online not at hotel, did not process the payment supposedly which meant the hotel wanted a cc again. I tried to quickly check my statement at the counter but will need to follow up for sure because the hotel would not give us our rooms without payment then. Not Hyatt’s fault however there was a bit of contention on both parties and I was told I should have booked with the hotel direct to avoid the issue…seems to be happening more and more with Expedia. Maybe the era is over. The property was great, clean and overall easy to use. We parked valley overnight which was $50 which is the norm in the city. Easily able to retrieve our car when needed. The quick trip over night did not leave us time to explore the area but was a quick 8 mins or so Uber to Concord for our concert.

I had a wonderful stay at Hyatt Place at Wicker Park! It was very walkable to The Salt Shed. My friend and I felt very safe in the area and the staff was AMAZING!! Super friendly and helpful!
