« l'hôtel est bien situé, joli d'extérieur mais un peu trop dans son jus pour l'intérieur dans en gardant le style il pourrait être un minimum modernisé petit déjeuner imposé , pas beaucoup de choix le personnel est serviable et sympathique le parking gratuit dans la rue c'est un plus »

« Je suis très moyennement satisfaite. Lorsque l’on réserve une suite supérieure pour 4 personnes et qu’à votre arrivée, le canapé lit n’est même pas préparé et que l’on doit le préparer soi-même, ce n’est pas agréable après des heures de voyage. Les draps n’etaient même pas dans la chambre ni les serviettes. il a fallu se rendre plusieurs fois la réflexion, aucune aide ne nous a été proposé. Réserver une suite à 200 $ la nuit avec des adolescents et devoir dormir les coussins d’un canapé n’est...

« Système de valet parking peu efficace et très cher. Odeur d'urine très forte dans la chambre (venant du système de ventilation!). Nous avons dû éteindre le chauffage pour cette raison. Pas de restaurant à l'intérieur de l'hôtel. Des travaux tout autour très bruyant. Un point positif: très bien situé dans le Historic District avec une belle vue sur le fleuve! Pour cette raison, mon coeur balance... »

"Je suis très moyennement satisfaite. Lorsque l’on réserve une suite supérieure pour 4 personnes et qu’à votre arrivée, le canapé lit n’est même pas préparé et que l’on doit le préparer soi-même, ce n’est pas agréable après des heures de voyage. Les draps n’etaient même pas dans la chambre ni les serviettes. il a fallu se rendre plusieurs fois la réflexion, aucune aide ne nous a été proposé. Réserver une suite à 200 $ la nuit avec des adolescents et devoir dormir les coussins d’un canapé n’est pas acceptable. Ce n’est pas un couchage ni un matelas! C’est honteux. Le parking est hors de prix Le petit déjeuner est correct mais la salle beaucoup trop petite L’hôtel est très bien situé dans le centre historique de Savanah. Aucun effort à la réception pour les gens, ne parlons pas couramment et rapidement l’anglais! "

![The Georgia Historical Society, founded May 24, 1839, is one of the oldest historical societies in the country. Among it founders were L.K. Tefft, the noted autograph collector; William Bacon Stevens, historian, physician and prelate, and Dr. Richard D. Arnold, who as Mayor of Savannah, formally surrendered the City to General Sherman in 1864. 

The Presidents of the Society have included John Macpherson Berrien, Attorney General under President Jackson and United States Senator; James M. Wayne, Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States; and Henry R. Jackson, jurist, soldier, diplomat and poet. 

Hodgson Hall, the home of the Society, is a repository for books, newspapers and manuscripts relating to the history of Georgia. ![General William Tecumseh Sherman used this house as headquarters from Dec. 22, 1864, until Feb. 1, 1865. Charles Green offered the use of his home to General Sherman and his staff. Sherman's chaplain conducted the Christmas services in St. John's Church.

The house was built for Green, a British subject residing in Savannah prior to 1854. The architect was John S. Norris of New York. The house is notable as one of the country's finest examples of residential Gothic Revival architecture, the detail of the interiors being as sumptuous as any to be found in America.
