However, the bedroom window was right above an alley where dumpsters were emptied each morning between 5am and 6am. This caused massive crashing noises which would last anywhere from 5 to 10 minutes. It woke us up every morning, rudely I might add. Also, know that there is overnight street parking only 2 nights per week. On other nights, you will need to park in the City's garage which is 2 blocks away and $32 per night. Daytime parking has meters and the maximum time allowed is 4 hours. Parking citations are issued promptly and plentifully, so beware. The location is otherwise good. Plenty of nearby restaurants and shops. Walking distance from the river. It felt reasonably safe and reasonably maintained. The 2 bedroom was clean, very spacious, good showers, beds, plenty of basic necessities. I loved the decor and the exposed brick. Overall, we really enjoyed it. The one thing you might consider (for units that face the alley) there is a lot of delivery trucks/garbage/construction that start very early in the morning (like 4:30). This is only a problem for one of the bedrooms. Also, our TV was not connecting to internet and was very glitchy, but it was not a huge problem for us. Close to everything. Easy walk to most attractions. 20 minutes or less. Restaurants literally outside the entrance door. The apartment itself was as advertised. Clean, furniture and bed were comfortable. Everything you need to cook a meal if you don’t feel like going out. Construction going on nearby at the moment, but I didn’t really notice any noise from it. I found on street parking on Barnard St. About 2 blocks west of apartment. Only have to pay $24 a day—-8am-8pm Mon-Friday. Much cheaper than parking in a private garage. Recommend staying here if you get an opportunity. Simple instructions for access. The building is old (of course, since its historic Savannah), but modernized and renovated to where it becomes a very vibrant blend of old and new. Some of the items in the unit (ones we didn't use or need) were in need of replacement like cookware and some of the other utensils, etc. but that didn't bother us. The building can be a bit noisy from unit to unit or from outside, but it was quiet when we needed it to be. Also, we expect noise when located right in the heart of historic Savannah.
