Nice Hotel

Posted 21-Aug-2016
Pros: I liked the fact that it was quick and easy to find from the thruway and it suggests dinner restaurants in the nearby area .
Before I stayed here, I read quite a few reviews about the place including bad ones. But I decided to try it anyways giving it the benefit of the doubt. I found that it was indeed a adequate hotel for the purpose I needed it for, business. A couple reviews stated skinky halls with an old musty smell. I found this to be true for the hallways but not for the rooms. As far as I'm concerned, the rooms are the most important. Not the halls. Linens were clean and towels were what I expexted to find. If you require ultra soft towels, you will not find them here because you get what you pay for. I would stay there again if the chance allows and would recommend it to anyone. Thank you Days Inn for a pleasant evening and night.

Cuse Grad Trip

Posted 26-May-2016 on Hotels
We have stayed several places in Syracuse the past 4 years. Rooms were hard to get for graduation weekend. Days Inn is a bit further from campus than we have stayed in the past. The very good news is that the drive to campus is quick and easy. It's quite better than staying anywhere on Carrier Circle. So consider staying here even though it's a bit further out!

Pros: nothing except maybe closeness to boat rental 20 minutes away
Cons: everything
I found this hotel one of the worst I have ever stayed in. Reservation was for 3 adults. We were given 2 towels 2 face clothes and 1 floor mat ?? Three people ? 1 bar hotel size soap along with 1 hotel size shampoo. The towels were like sand paper . When we got back from a day out (7AM to 7PM) The beds and linens were not changed, room was not cleaned ,no clean towels another words room not touched. When we called desk no explanation given .We were asked to wait outside the room while they made the beds (no clean sheets) 2 towels again had to go get more. No more soap either.Continental breakfast offered toast no butter though they were out. This was a quick fishing trip an overnight trip.So after traveling 2 1/2 hours after working all day we got very little sleep because the AC/heater was so noisy and needed to be on because room was very stuffy. The room was dirty had mold in bathroom and a exposed light fixture also in the bathroom. Will not stay here again.
