My family and I got there on a Monday for 4 days during Christmas week. We were checked in alright. And our room was across the street and it felt more like a motel. No front office, no reception, no crackers, nothing.. just a door to buzz in and stairs to the rooms. There was no elevator. Strike 1: it looked like the carpet hadn't been cleaned for months. It was so dirty that our socks got stained walking in them. Mind you we had a baby. Strike 2: we had a coffee maker and there was only 1 cup. Yes - 4 keurig coffee pods and 1 cup. Strike 2: We were not told anything relating to activities within the resort. I.e. checking happened fast and there was no one behind me. On the last day of our stay at 3 pm, someone slid a schedule of activities. It was a shame we had missed out on so many things that we would have wanted to do including children activities. Anyway, despite having a room that was a walk out into the lake, we were not impressed. I highly recommend the lake placid area but definitely I'd be cautious about this "resort". May be the main building is good but It was a big joke to say the least.
