"I really enjoyed my stay here. It was almost perfect apart from the AC being a bit too weak and the water quality and tempreture regulation not being great. But it really did not cause much of an issue. I was able to enjoy a quiet room that was very beautiful and clean. I am so happy with my choice"
"Beautiful resort. Great food at all restaurants. Didn’t have the privilege room and didn’t feel we were missing out on anything. Pool is absolutely amazing. Beach is nice with plenty of room. You have to get up early to get a pool chair, they are normally gone by 8 am. "

"Everything was incredible! The absolute best part of this hotel was the staff. Tip as much as possible, wages aren’t that high and tips keep the service 5-star!"
"I liked the food and bar staff. One thing I don’t like is the room bathroom did not have vent and spray so it was very stinky and hot. Our room cleaning isn’t done everyday even though we put the sign out and when we were back in the room late afternoon room still isn’t clean. The room service food is limited and not good. "

"The resort was excellent and a wonderful staff at the Grand Sirenis.
The concierges at our building, Cristoffer and Diego. Ramon and Angel at the buffet restaurant, Miguel at the Italian restaurant were all great."

"The good: Great place to spend with my family.
The bad: Too much people in the same restaurant. I guess this can be improved by expanding restaurant services. "

"We just got home from our 8 night stay at the Barcelo Maya Palace (May 16-24th). It was such a great time for my family with kids age 11 and 14. The grounds are so beautiful. The beach had some sargassm, but it did not bother us and they work hard so hard to haul it away. The entire time we were there was red and yellow flag days but we enjoyed the water everyday with no issues. The waves were manageable and fun! Staying at the Palace gave us access to 4 other resorts. Expedia and Barcelo gave us a Premium upgrade as a VIP, giving us access to the premium lounge and access to the hydrotherapy at the spa was great. Thank you!! We chose the Palace because we scored a great deal and after watching the food reviews wanted to have a little more selection. Although our room was near the back, we are fully capable of walking and this helped us manage enough steps after big feasts! If you have small kids or mobility issues, you may want to book a premium room to be closer to the action. The place also is very wheelchair, wagon or stroller friendly. The bus stop was right out the back entrance and the adult only pool was close by and an advantage to the back rooms. Food was good and we always found something and mixed and matched stations to create what we wanted. I was thankful to have packed: sunscreen, after sun, better shampoo and conditioner, comfy shoes, water shoes, sun shirts, snorkels, insulated cup, band-aids, Immodium, and Gravol and plastic bags. Fun times!"

"We just spent a week here and had 3 of the swim up rooms. THEY'RE AWESOME. Bring shoes for swimming in the ocean, the sand is sharp and hurts. The pools were nice but they need more chairs around them. Head down to the beach - there are open chairs and bars there. The restaurants were good. The rooms had AC. They are a bit stingy with the AC in the restaurants.....we were sweating more than once. Also, reserve your spot at the restaurants before your trip, there's not much availability once you're there. Food was great at the restaurants. Buffets were what I would expect. The staff is great! Beautiful property with Capybara, Coati, and some sort of havelina. loved it. "

"It was amazing service , staff were welcoming and helped out the best they could. We had unlimited food options and some reservations but it was fine because it was worth the wait. The place is safe and isolated for only the hotels located there which is perfect for not some much people at the beach. There tours offered at the hotel and we took one and it was amazing . Cleaning service were good just that they would come at different times every day. "
