"Wonderful place for some winter sun and relaxation"
Could not have been more pleased with Zoetry. From the complimentary transportation service from the airport, to the lovely suite, to the great poolside service and the really wonderful, friendly and accommodating Staff. No matter what we wanted, the answer was "anything is possible in Mexico" and indeed it was. We were looking for a relaxing January respite from the cold and we found it. We'll definitely go back.

"Wonderful resort, with so much to offer"
We stayed for 5 days for our honeymoon and everything was absolutely wonderful. We had complimentary room service which was wonderful but the buffets and a la cartes were amazing as well. Everything was very flavorful, and the options were endless. Our room was huge with a king bed and jacuzzi tub on our balcony. The maids made us towel animals each day, and consistently stocked our mini fridge. The beach did have a lot of seaweed the first day we were there but it was cleaned up the next day and we didn't see any again for the rest of the trip. The adult pools, and bars were great. There seemed to be many activities for children as well, but that was on the other side of the resort, which was great. We found something new to do/see each day. It was absolutely beautiful, the staff was nice, the food delicious, and our stay was wonderful. Easy 5 stars.

"Very Nice Resort!"
Beautiful landscaping throughout the entire resort. Pictures only captured 1/3 of the beauty. Extremely comfortable beds(we stayed in Royal Suites). Amazing dining/restaurants-- my wife has Celiac's disease(no-gluten diet) She and I were both amazed at the options she had here-- both at the ala carte and buffet meals. The staff was helpful in pointing out what was ok/not ok for her to eat. Like I said- we were very impressed with how they were able to handle her specific diet needs! The only place it was hard to get food for her was at the snack bars. The evening shows were nice to sit and watch along with the live music before and after. It was entertaining to hear their version of our American songs along with some of theirs. The waiters and staff overall were very kind and accommodating throughout our stay. Nice clean large beach with multiple large areas for swimming.

"All the way around excellent"
Enjoyed it all - from check-in experience to departure. We used all the facilities and ate at all the restaurants and were never disappointed...with the food, the staff and our room. Even though it is a huge place, they made us feel cared for and welcome and wanted everything taken care of. It was especially nice to be able to walk right out the front door into town, or use the resort bikes to ride through the streets. It was SAFE and clearly okay to roam around at any time of day or night. The room we had was closer to the ocean side, but even though we didn't choose a premium room, ours was spacious, clean and lovely. My favorite part was the way the staff greets the guests - with hand on the heart, which I felt showed the spirit of the entire atmosphere. We hope to return in the not too distant future and would certainly choose The Royal again

"Unmatched service"
This was our 10th visit to the Cancun/Playa area and we have always enjoyed every resort. Each resort offered the friendliest most eager to please service. However, this resort finds ways to improve upon the superior service we've encountered before. Service wise I don't see how anyone could improve upon how these people do everything. Their restaurants were all excellent. As a swimmer I generally expect the pool waters to be cold and uninviting. However, their main pool is heated, and guests responded by getting into and enjoying the water. The only negative was the huge amounts of seaweed on the beach, which rendered the beach as unusable, with even an unpleasant odor. The staff said the seaweed was the worst in a long time, and that the entire coastline was in the same shape. Highly recommend this resort.

"Good access to everything."
Ok, nothing but great things to say about the staff. They work their butts off and keep a smile on their face all day long. They were awesome. The currency exchange lady was a bit sour. The smallest bills she could give me were 100 pesos and I wanted to buy a 1 dollar post card at the gift shop and she said she didn't have change for a 10.00 dollar bill, so bring lots of 1.00 dollar bills. I talked to Salvador at the reception desk and he was a great help in assisting me to get change for a 20.00 dollar bill. Carlos was our favorite bartender at the pool bar. He was the only bartender who would make us a cocoa loco. As far as the shows go, the one you absolutely don't want to miss is the Usher, Rhianna, Lady Gaga, Micheal Jackson, Bruno Mars show. They do it every other Saturday night and it is fantastic.

"Great Hotel, would stay there again."
Can't complain about anything other than the price, but in this case you get what you pay for in the good way. Great food, good services, not too far from playa del carmen if you want to walk by the sand. Great rooms and beatiful hotel decoration. No pressure to buy any extra stuff, what I love!

"Background on taxi fares and time share pitches"
This is the second all inclusive stay for my wife and I in Mexico. I would say we made some improvements on this one primarily in the area of restaurants. A lot of the basic information about the hotel is provided in other reviews so I am going to use the limited area here to address getting to the resort and what to expect immediately upon arrival. You are greeted at the entrance with cold refreshing towels and a glass of champagne-or water if you prefer. The ride is about 30 minutes from the airport. Taxi fare is around $60-$70 for four adults depending on the type of vehicle. Not going to say that you can't bargain for less, but you can certainly pay more if you aren't careful. Check in was very quick, then be prepared for the obligatory time share pitch. Virtually every hotel of this sort is a time share property. If you want the perks they are offering to take the presentation (ours was about $300 in discounts for things that we planned on doing anyway) then figure you are going to spend about 3+ hours or so between the taxi ride, tour, and closing attempts. If you aren't interested, just politely decline and you probably won't be bothered about it again. One last tip: Don't be intimidated to take the tour or buy a time share that day. You can always change your mind later and I promise you they will be more than happy to accommodate you at a later time regardless of the "it has to be today" pitch. A lot of other good information in these reviews. Hope this helps.
