"Wonderful place for some winter sun and relaxation"
Could not have been more pleased with Zoetry. From the complimentary transportation service from the airport, to the lovely suite, to the great poolside service and the really wonderful, friendly and accommodating Staff. No matter what we wanted, the answer was "anything is possible in Mexico" and indeed it was. We were looking for a relaxing January respite from the cold and we found it. We'll definitely go back.

"this was our 4th time"
This resort is amazing. You feel so special when you stay here. The staff call you by name. They greet like family. The choices of restaurant are awesome. We stayed 7 nights and never ate at the same place twice. Dinner is an experience to be enjoyed. The beach is beautiful and the pools are clean and wonderful. There was nothing to not like. I love this place.

"A bit of a slow start that was quickly overcome..."
Arrived on a Sat afternoon. Was able to check in right away & room was ready. Unfortunately, room had 2 double beds & I had reserved a king bed. Initial calls to front desk had no effect (was told they were full & had no flexibility). However, a 3rd call where I asked for the manager generated a call back about 10 minutes later where a new room was found & we could move right away. New room was great! In Riviera building 60 with close proximity to pool & beach. The resort is huge & we encountered many different service people over 5 days, who were all professional & usually friendly. We did not encounter a single negative attitude from anyone we dealt with! Because resort is huge, there is a lot of walking between room & restaurants, pools, beach, spa & lobby. The landscaping is beautiful all around & my wife & I enjoyed the walks, which helped us burn off a few calories from the excellent meals & drinks we consumed. If you have issues walking or think you want to rely on the shuttle, I would probably re-think Riviera Maya. We took shuttles for dinners at other parts of resort, but it seemed like wait times between shuttles was pretty high. Wear comfortable shoes. As my wife said, leave your high heels at home & you will be fine. We used the gym a few times & it was excellent. It is in the Spa, which is absolutely gorgeous! At pools & beach, we had no trouble finding chairs & getting towels.

"Beautiful resort and not one problem!"
I'm going to tell about my experience and also address some of the negative things said about this resort: First, check in was a breeze. Took about 5 minutes and had our room. This is a record time for a Mexico check-in. Room was very nice, clean, and cool. We had a very hot week and the room stayed as cool as we wanted it. Staff was fantastic and very nice. Barbara from the entertainment staff was a lot of fun and cycled with my wife and I in the pool every day. She was GREAT! I saw earlier feedback about the following issues so I kept an eye out to report on. Here it is: Beach was a long way away: If you sit in front of the TV and haven't walked in 5 years, then yeah, it's a little bit of a walk. I could get to the beach walking medium speed in about 10 minutes. The adult pool was 1 minute (but it's small and everyone smoked so we didn't every go here). The main pool was 5 minute walk. Nothing crazy and they did have the trains running which were always going by. Lots of Seaweed on the beach: True, they were out removing it every morning. They did a good job. The beach was beautiful and there were two very sandy areas to walk in the ocean (way out) and clean. Water was warm. It's the ocean, can't blame the resort for that. Watered down drinks: We tried Bailey's and Capt. Morgan and it was full octane! Hard to water down beer too. TV channels not in English: Only American arrogance would believe TV should be in English every country you visit.

"Unmatched service"
This was our 10th visit to the Cancun/Playa area and we have always enjoyed every resort. Each resort offered the friendliest most eager to please service. However, this resort finds ways to improve upon the superior service we've encountered before. Service wise I don't see how anyone could improve upon how these people do everything. Their restaurants were all excellent. As a swimmer I generally expect the pool waters to be cold and uninviting. However, their main pool is heated, and guests responded by getting into and enjoying the water. The only negative was the huge amounts of seaweed on the beach, which rendered the beach as unusable, with even an unpleasant odor. The staff said the seaweed was the worst in a long time, and that the entire coastline was in the same shape. Highly recommend this resort.

"Great hotel with so much to do"
We stayed at the Viva Maya from 3/7 - 3/14 and loved it. We brought our 4 high school and college age children and they said it was the best vacation yet. First - the beach is beautiful! The waves coming into the beach area were huge on windy days - fun to play in and body surf. There were plenty of chairs for everyone. My daughter and nephew went para-sailing - the men running the boat did an amazing job, I felt they were very safe at all times. They had volleyball tournaments on the beach as well. There were a few vendors selling sterling silver on the beach, but not many and they didn't bother you if you said no thank you. Second - the pool was warm and not too crowded - you can always get a chair there too. The staff was amazing - always getting people involved in the activities by the pool - water aerobics, dancing, music, etc. Third - there is always something going on. In addition to the activities mentioned above by the pool and on the beach, they had ping pong, bocce ball, yoga, dance lessons, belly flop contest, a "mr maya" contest, and they have a disco to go dancing at night - all things my kids enjoyed. Rooms are not fancy but they are nice and are very clean. The beds are very firm so my husband and I woke up with sore backs many days, but once we were up and moving around it went away. We also kept our A/C on at all times so we never had a problem with noise in the hallways. Food was not great but we could always find something we liked.

"tranquil and spacious"
Great place! All-inclusive. Has many restaurants onsite for many palates. Rooms are quiet, guests were quiet. No drunken patrons stumbling about. Entire lodging portion of resort goes into a quiet slumber around 10pm. There's a night-life too in the common grounds, with a full calendar of events for your stay. There's a kids zone for the little guests to learn and play. One gift shop onsite, had just the bare essentials for the most part. We stayed in a Luxury Jr Suite and had a tub big enough for two and a safe in the room. The items in the room's refrigerator were included in our price and we had 24hr room service, all-inclusive as well. We used various taxi services, they all knew the resort's location without question, and the gated security kept out any solicitation or trouble from the outside.

"Nice Mexican Stay!!"
Nice getaway in the Mexican sun. Hotel very clean. Any oceanview room nice but higher floor better. Staff very friendly. Free wifi and Canada calling nice bonus. Hector activity guy energetic. Oscar by the pool energetic serving drinks and food from lounger. Lets you know activities going on but not pressuring guests to participate. Premium drinks were excellente! Only 1 pool so busy and loungers must be 'reserved' with something early. Beach nothing special. Dirty at shore and seaweed along whole of beach. Trip into Playa del Carmen fun and safe. Cab ride one way to airport $55US to town $20US. Great vacation getaway!! Stayed at Secrets Wild Orchid in Jamaica and same quailty. Will look for other Secrets resorts to visit and would definitely return to Riviera Capri.

"Fantastic Resort"
Fabulous resort! Everything was great, especially the treatment from most staff members. They go out their way to make you feel great, and provide excellent customer service. Food is also delicious! Pools are great for all ages. Hint- throw the staff a few bucks in tips and they'll take extra special care of you.
