Superior Double Room, 2 Twin Beds is big great for one or 2, even for 3 friends with the hammock in the room (I don’t know if they allow) Great bathroom. Mini-mini fridge. Stayed 4 nights. "The room is listed as 1.7 km from center. What's not said is it's up a VERY steep mountain. That made it sometimes unwalkable. We're walkers, but had a back problem. We did walk down one day, but not the Google Maps route which requires multiple long up-down stairways. They clean with some god-awful toxic-smelling stuff that caused me respiratory problems. The Hotels.com price listed is significantly lower than what I was actually charged with somewhat hidden fees etc. so beware of that. ...

"It is our first time on Isla Mujeres and we stayed here for 5 nights. All of the staff were wonderful and kind. Our room (standard room #4) was large, bright, and clean! Unfortunately the bed was a quite hard and I would not want to have slept on it longer than we did. It was also incredibly loud with people passing by on their scooters and golf carts, but only from around 9am to 9pm. "We loved this hotel. Very quaint and cute, lovely property. The pool is huge, the restaurant is good, and the hotel is very close to everything you want to be near. If you are a light sleeper, you may not appreciate the pet peacocks, but they didn't bother us and they are so beautiful! The hotel is quite a hike to get to on foot, but so is everything else in Taxco. I would totally book it again. "

This can make check-in difficult because there are no signs indicating where the lobby is located (a block away on another street). "
