"Excellent location and much more."
The staff was great. Enjoyed the pool very much. Having a balcony was great as you could hear the water from the pool.

"Could be the nicest place to stay in Vancouver"
This used to be a pretty run-down hotel (before the one-hundred-and-fifty-million-dollar renovation). Now it's beautiful, clean, stylish and fantastic. Really, a great place to stay. The Reflections bar on the fourth level was an absolutely stunning place to sit. Seemed to be frequented by a very young and affluent crowd. We are in our early forties, and we seemed among the oldest people there. Maybe it was just the day.

"Conveniently located in downtown Vancouver!"
The staff at the Loden was warm and welcoming. When I inquired about paying for an upgrade to a nicer room, the front desk attendant was very candid and assured me that I would be very happy with the room I had and that spending additional money was not warranted (what a surprise!) The room on the 9th floor was fine, quiet and had all the ammenities I required. My only comments would be that the cabinetry was a bit worn, and that I stubbed my toe several times on the base of the desk chair, so I would have preferred something with a different base. There were bikes, helmets, locks, etc. available in the lobby to use (a very nice offering) and there was a hotel car available for any short hop in the immediate vicinity downtown (which was nice on the one day it rained). The continental breakfast was more than adequate and the complimentary coffee in the lobby was great. All in all, a very pleasant two night stay at the Loden. I stayed three additional nights at L' Ermitage, and for my taste, I prefer the Loden.

"Excellent central location, close to train station"
This hotel had excellent service with friendly, helpful staff. The room was lovely, and the warm cookies and chocolates with the turndown service was a nice touch. Location was great, with many amenities in walking distance. Would definitely stay there again.

"Old world charm and comfort in trendy Vancouver"
I simply loved this hotel. I got a great weekend deal on an executive suite complete with living room, king bedroom, marble bath, and luxurious bathrobe--the works. The hotel compares favorably with The Huntington Hotel in San Francisco, CA, including spa and gym. I loved the city view, the fact that my room service breakfast tray was made of real wood, and the fact that there were separate bath mats for both the shower and the bathtub--that's the level of service, pampering, and attention to your comfort that you experience My bed was turned down nightly, and they even left chocolates the way they do at upscale European hotels. The food in the Boulevard restaurant was consistently excellent, and everyone was so friendly, thoughtful, and welcoming. I'm going to look for another package at this hotel as soon as possible.

"Great hotel in North Van"
We decided not to stay in downtown Vancouver this time to get a different perspective on the area. The Pinnacle at the Pier is a gem and right on the water, with great views of the Vancouver skyline and the nearby shipbuilding and history. Amenities are excellent, and location is near shopping (Lonsdale Quay Market), restaurants, and public transit. The Seabus is great transportation to be in downtown Vancouver in about 15 minutes for a low fare. Downtown is very walkable and access is great from the Pinnacle. Pool and fitness facilities, as well as decor, are very fine, too. Rooms are comfortable and luxurious. North Van is a unique neighborhood and worth exploring! We loved the whole experience!
