"Nice hotel in heart of Vancouver"
The Wedgewood hotel was very nice. Our room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. There were some hidden fees and expenses we weren't expecting ($30 for an extra person, $30/day for parking, etc) but otherwise we had a great stay.

"Weekend visit to Vancouver"
Quick weekend visit to Vancouver with my wife and two sons (14 and 9). There was a promotion on via Expedia and we got $100 off per night on a Stanley Park view suite. In short, this hotel is absolutely superb. The staff somehow knew our name at every step - the housekeeping staff, the valet, even after we drove up after being out all day. The room was spacious and completely modern - there's an LCD TV built flush into the bathroom mirror, for goodness sake. The massaging tub was a big hit. It felt luxurious, clean, and up to date in every respect. My wife and son used the hotel car to go to the Vancouver Aquarium. The hotel cars are all BMWs and they hardly had to wait, both to get there and also to get picked up on the way back. If you're going somewhere in the downtown core, don't get a taxi, get the car.

"Excellent on all levels"
This was our first visit to Shangri- La hotel and chose to stay here because our first choice, the Rosewood Georgia, didn't accept children. While looking for other 5 star hotels, the Shangri-La had amazing reviews written, so we decided to try it out. And the hotel and its employees - did not disappoint. We were impressed from the moment we stepped out of our car all the way through check out. At check in, we were escorted to our room and was given a brief tour of the room features - how to operate the remote controlled blinds and shades, coffee and tea maker, etc. A few minutes later, we were brought up a small box of cookies for our 14 month old. We stayed in a King Executive bedroom with a view of the city. The bathrooms were marble and very clean. Through out the day, we would pass through various faces of the employees that worked at the Shangri-La and all were smiling and offered salutations. Breakfast was included in our room rate and the options were plenty. My husband and I had eggs with bacon and also ordered the congee as a side. We were given coffee and tea, and a daily smoothie which my daughter enjoyed. A bowl of fruit for us both was given as a starter as well as a basket of pastries. Along with the amazing meal, we had impeccable service. After breakfast, we took a tour of the hotel and went up to visit the gym and the pool. We were blown away with the quality of the fitness machines. All were newer models and very well maintained. They even have a dry s

"Beautiful hotel in perfect location"
It was my first trip to Vancouver, so choosing a hotel is not always easy. I typically stay in VIP +gold hotels because they provide a wide array of upgrades and benefits. Upon arrival, I was not sure where to park. There was no driveway, so you just have to pull up in front of the hotel along the street and Valet your car. $29 a night, with only a few other parking options close by. I ended up parking in a lot next door the first night, which was very costly. When I checked in, I was not greeted as a VIP member, was not upgraded, and was put on a lower floor facing a street where construction was ongoing. The room, however, was very nice. Large, well appointed, great walk in shower. The hotel is not large. The elevators were not operative at check-in, so we had to take the stairs. The internet service was being upgraded, so it was someone inconsistent coverage. The hotel has an Indian restaurant that is very lovely, with a full service bar. The food was very good. When Expedia received my check-in review, they must have contacted the hotel immediately, because the response of the hotel staff was incredible. I arrived back to my room after working to find a large cheese tray and a bottle of red wine. I then received an apology letter from the manager, telling me that all of my breakfasts and all my valet parking were going to be covered by the hotel. I got to know some of the staff, and really settled into staying there. It ended up leaving a very good taste

"Excellent location and staff!"
I would highly recommend St Regis! The staff was extremely accommodating: helping us to make reservations at restaurants, plan daily outings, help with directions etc. The location was perfect! We walked everywhere! We had chocolates waiting for us nightly as our beds were turned down, and woke to an exceptional "made to order" breakfast in the downstairs dining. The daily Steve Nash gym pass was located only 1/2 block walk from the hotel. We attend a few classes, including a cycling class. We will DEFINITELY return to St. Regis. It met our expectations and beyond!!!
