"Short Business Trip"
Was in Vancouver for a brief business trip. Needed to stay close to the airport within reasonable budget and ideally close proximity to the SkyTrain transit system. The Hotel at River Rock Casino met all requirements for amenities, proximity to airport and access to SkyTrain, affordability and comfort. The room was well appointed given the budget. Free internet access was also beneficial.

"concert in the city"
Went to concert at Rogers Arena, rather than staying downtown, where everything is way overpriced we took the 15 minute drive instead. Great hotel, the front desk staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The bed and pillows were so comfy.

"Comfortable "
The hotel is really comfortable, the bed was great. The shuttle for the airport is very handy. If you want to eat something else to Asian food, you'll have to taxi or sky train to another district. Overall the hotel was good, we will recommend.

We got to the hotel not expecting much based on the reviews saying it was terrible and you'd want to check out after the first night. We walked in and was blasted with the air conditioning, which felt great. We had booked one queen bed to share, but they gave us 2 beds for no extra cost which was also great. Had some issues with the electrical but the hotel staff were very accommodating and helped us through it the entire time. The cleaning people came in everyday and made our beds, took out the trash, gave us new towels twice (in our week long stay). Room came with a blow dryer, a fridge, a microwave, and a TV. I would recommend bringing shampoo with you and body wash. They provide shampoo conditioner mix and a bar of soap, but for 2 girls staying together the one bottle wasn't enough, the bars of soap were small. They may give you more upon request, but we never asked to make sure if they did or not. We had 2 issues with the hotel. One being the electrical. Whenever we used the blow dryer or the microwave the power would shut off to the room. The staff were very friendly in trying to fix it. But in the end they couldn't figure out what the problem was so whenever we used one of these items we unplugged the air conditioner. It wasn't a big deal to us, but I thought I'd mention it in case it would bother someone else. The other issue was the shower. The shower head was kind of low. Im 5'10 and had to bend my head back to wash my hair, but again not really a big deal.

"Best Value in Vancouver!"
The rooms are simple but attractive--very new. Shared bathroom means toilet and shower are shared between two rooms, with sink in the room. Two blocks to Skytrain, six blocks to center of downtown. Hotel staff are friendly and helpful. I've stayed in YWCAs all over the world and expected something with rougher edges, but Vancouver's was a most pleasant surprise.

Whether you’re after the slot machines or want to play a few hands of blackjack, the Vancouver casinos are here to cater to you. Try some roulette or baccarat, or, if you’re really ready for a challenge, see how good your poker face is and try to win a little extra money for souvenirs. If you’d like something besides the usual gaming tables, head to Hastings Racetrack, a staple of Vancouver since its opening in 1889. Cheer on the favorite or root for the long shot, and you can even get in a little gaming action in between races.

When you’re not hoping for a pair of sevens or sampling the fare at the legendary casino buffets, catch up on your beauty rest at a nearby hotel. Sweat out the day’s toxins in the sauna, then take a refreshing dip in the pool. If you’ve had a particularly rough (or great) run at the tables, comfort yourself (or celebrate) with a hot-stone massage or another treatment from the in-house spa. If you’ve got some extra winnings to spare, take some friends out to dinner in downtown Vancouver, or order room service if you plan to have an early night.

Come to Expedia.ca for all your booking needs. We’ll hook you up with the best hotels in Vancouver, no matter what sort of trip you’re taking; we provide the link to quaint inns, five-star resorts, and everything in between. Book with us and visit the City of Glass without spending a ton of cash – unless, of course, you’re at the tables.
