“keys get away”
The hotel is adorable. I grew up in the Keys and I know what kind of hotels are down there. I was pleasanly surprised how nice this one was. They just re did the interior and they did a fantastic job :) I will come stay again next time I visit my home town of the beautiful florida keys :)
“Great little hotel in the keys!”
Don't judge a book by its cover! This little hotel may not seem much from the outside, but they have done a very nice job remodeling the interior. The rooms were spotless and comfortable. A great place to stay for an overnight trip at a great price. Less than 10 minutes from Islamorada.
“Almost Perfect”
I had ordered 2 double bed for 3 adults. When I opened the door all I saw was a kind size bed not knowing that there was another room. To my surprise there was another room with 2 more full sized beds. This was amazing. Room smell a little musty, but I the floors were tiled and the bathroom was clean as a whistle (don't know where the musty smell came from. Only small problem with windows in the back. The covering was bamboo type shades, they looked great but didn't stop the outside light for the steps and I was afraid that people could see in. Some ice and coffee would be nice - a little disappointed in that. Even if it was at the front lobby, it thought coffee would have been offered.
“The best little hotel in the Keys!”
This was one of the best hotels we stayed at during our trip to the Florida Keys. It was small but that only added to the charm of it. The staff were friendly and helpful and the room/bathroom were spic and span. As I said, the rooms are on the small side but so cute and quaint it more than made up for the lack of size. There is an outdoor seating area with comfortable chairs and umbrellas for when the weather heats up and parking in the back of the building. There also a number of great restaurants in the area and Bob's Bunz is a must for breakfast. Everything we had there was fabulous! All-in-all, a great little hotel and I would definitely stay here again.

great clean place for a great price
“Tavernier was a pleasant surprise: recommend it if you need a clean comfy bed!”
We read mixed reports on this hotel, but found it to be pleasant surprise, as all was clean, beds comfortable and spacey, and the Expedia reservation worked seamless with the hotel. Would definitely recommend it to anyone in search of a clean place to spend a couple of nights, halfway between Key West, and the mainland.
“I had a great stay”
If your the cind of people who only stay in the best places, then don't go here, however I realy enjoyed my stay here, the rooms were nice, and the place is very easy going.
“A bit of a surprise”
When we pulled up to the Hotel we were a bit surprised. It did not look like the online pictures. It is very tiny, very close to the road and a bit run down looking. The woman at the desk was very nice. Our room was tiny, but clean and the bed was surprisingly comfortable. We only stayed there one night, on our way to Key West and I wouldn't want to stay there an entire week, but for a night or two it was perfectly fine. My room didn't have a mirror other than the bathroom medicine cabinet, so I had to go to my sister's room to do my hair. (I also didn't have a plug in the bathroom to plug in my hair dryer.) If we had traveled alone, that would have been an inconvenience for me. The area was fun, with lots of roadside shopping a some very quaint restaurants and bars.
“Cute and cozy”
The hotel was small but cute, had very friendly staff, and was located close to great restaurants and shops.
“Is This Place for You”
This is a quaint old inn that is in very good condition and is kept up superbly. Cleanliness is the key here. Everything is spotless. Do not expect a spacious room because here space is at a premium. If you are planning to spend a lot of time in your room, this is not the place for you. If you are looking for a comfortable, clean place to stay and a good nights sleep, this may be the place for you. Especially if you plan to spend the majority of your time out doing things, not sitting in your room. You cannot beat the price in Islamorado. And if you want a superb meal during your stay check out the Old Tavernier Inn just down the road.
