“Nice choice”

We stayed for two nights at Casa Isabella, a bed & breakfast, in late September. We found Patricia, the host, to be extremely helpful, knowledgeable, kind and friendly. She provided us with information on places to go and a cell phone in case of emergencies. The room was very clean and comfortable. Finding Casa Isabella initially was a little difficult however, once you arrive, she gives you a card with directions and the phone number in case you get lost. This is very helpful when using a taxi cab or rental car. This is a very quiet and safe community, away from the center of San Jose. Would recommend staying here.

“Wonderful find!”

All in all this hotel was a diamond in the rough of greater San Jose. Cheap, clean, super accommodating -- all in all an incredibly positive experience. I would definitely stay here again!

“Great place”

This hotel is very clean and comfortable. The owner is very sweet and is willing to help at all times. The hotel is a bit out of San Jose and a 15 walk to restaurants or shopping marts. If you have a car this would help a lot to get around. The hotel does offer many tours, which is helpful.

“NOT a hotel--Someone's house.”

The owner was rude and short fused and not accommodating. Difficult to get to--needed to take a cab everywhere. No staff available after 7pm which is ridiculous. While it's advertised as a hotel it is far from--you feel like a guest in a stranger's house. A stranger who has the nerve to charge you as though it were a hotel.
