“not a family hotel”

“Badly kept”

It's not the cleanest hotel I've been in, specially because the hair dryer was full of blond, long hair! The beds and blankets have seen better days. I know its Best Western but I have stayed on other hotels of the same chain and didn't have any problems. The staff is friendly and helpful. I'm not picky and like to rough it sometimes and have slept in bizarre places but I'd only stay there again only if I HAD to. True, COMICON was going on so the rates were more than double, but for what I payed, you get a four star in TJ.

“Bad Neighborhood”

When my reservation to another hotel was overbooked, I was offered this hotel as a replacement. While I did not have the chance to see the hotel that I originally booked, this one was horrible. The room had an odor to it that stuck to all the clothes that were brought into it.

Coronado would be an excellent place to stay, because of the beaches and the wonderful small town charm.

“Just go sleep”

It was not nice by any means.Just a place to sleep. I gave my kids a bath and there were pieces of the tub floating in the water.

“Its inexpensive and good for those one nigthers.”

nice and clean. inexpensive. room was average for a cheaper room. nice that it came with breakfast for the price. close to public transportation.

“Not clean, poorly maintained”

We had 3 rooms booked at the hotel for a recent trip. All rooms had window air conditioners that were not cooling and added a musty smell to the room. The carpets were not clean. On arrival one of the rooms was not ready and the hotel said the cleaning crew had already left. Also, there were no other rooms available. We had to call Expedia after which they located another room (with the broken AC). The bathroom faucets in one of the rooms were so old and leaky they were squirting water out of the control knobs (that's the first time I saw that happen in any bath). Overall a bad experience due to the fact that this hotel just needs a good cleaning and maintenance crew.
