“Best hotel owner ever”
I stayed at hotel upon arriving in Rome and met the wonderful Patritzia, the owner of the hotel. Also I reserved a room on the day before my departure so I would be sure to get to airport on time. However, coming back to Rome by bus, my purse was stolen. Patrizia was instrumental in helping me get my passport and make my plane the next morning at 11 a.m. She is kind and generous and I will stay no where else on my next trip to Rome. She loaned me 50 euros, called the U.S. for me, let me use her computer and never asked when I would repay her, and of course I couldn't pay for my room that night either...what more can I say? About the hotel, the rooms are clean, large and comfy and the location is wonderful. For this price, it is a steal. We were equidistance from Trivoli fountain and Spanish stairs. Also, close to via Venuto and metropolitana (italian metro) station. Great location, fabulous hotel keeper!
“A little gem I feel compelled to share”
The only reason I hesitate to recommend this hotel is because I would very much like to keep it a secret. The hotel is Patty's private apartment; it occupies an entire floor, one end of which is the rooming house. A shared entrance, but the rooms are very separate from her private residence. Five rooms only, one double has its own bath, the other four rooms share a bath in the hall. However, the wc is separate from the shower, and the shower also has a wc, so there is little chance of a wait when you need to use the wc. Probably not recommended for families, but great for anyone else who is willing to go without a few amenities in exchange for savings. The place was very clean, the windows insulated therefore very quiet. No breakfast included but everything you need just around the corner. Of course the location is what makes this such a great find. Close to bus lines and subway as well as walking distance from some of the major sites. Patty told me that the rooming house has been in her family since her grandmother's time.
“lovely hotel”
Patty is such a nice lady and the hotel makes me feel like home!
“Great stay”
Small hotel in the heart of Rome. Patty is a very helpful owner. Had a very lovely stay.

Spanish Steps - Trevi Fountain, Rome, Italy: Romes largest, most spectacular fountain, the Trevi Fountain is a baroque extravaganza, its ancient sea gods and gushing water dominating a tiny piazza. Immortalised in Fellinis film, La Dolce Vita, this is the place to toss your coins to ensure your return to the Eternal City. The three streets radiating from the piazza lead to the historical centre and sights of the Quirinale one of the original seven hills.
