“i loved it there!!!”

it was a nice out of the way resort. quite and very warm surroundings.up on the hill away from the town but close enough to walk to the beach and the stores. the staff were very nice and helpful. the rooms were nice and clean.nobody bothered you. the people at the bar and restaurant staff was very nice and talked to you about the island. the front desk was also nice if you needed anything they helped you with it. i plan on going back in august with my kids and i will be staying there.

“Unforgettable Vacation”

This was our second visit to Negril with my family. Negril reminds us paradise, beautiful beaches and relaxing. The Hotel located on a hill in the centre of downtown with stunnign views to the ocean. The rooms are spacious, clean and nicely decorated. The restaurant near the pool is great. The staff is attentive and polite. We'll be back hopefully soon.

“For a bargain, stay at this place”

If you are going to Negril, and you don't want to stay at an all-inclusive resort, stay at this hotel. I was in Negril for a week, for a friend's wedding, and out of all the guests staying at various resorts, I had the best experience. Mine was the only resort where nothing was stolen from the room. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. There is an on-site restaurant (which closes a bit early in the evening, so get in early for food). BY FAR I paid the least for room/board, for meals, for everything else and I had a wonderful experience. You're a couple blocks walk from the beach, so why pay more for the inconveniance of walking two blocks? This place was wonderful. You can rent an in-room safe for very cheap, and they're happy to take care of you. When I go back, I'll be staying here. (Note: THis resort used to be called "Chuckles", so sometimes that's what you have to tell taxi's so they know where to take you. And there's a "Sunset" so make sure you say "Carribean Sunset")

“Would stay there again.”

This is a great place to stay. It is not fancy, but has everything one needs for a great vacation. It is close to everything. Just walk down the hill and get a taxi to anywhere. You can walk to the cambio to exchange $$. Close to shops, food vendors, or the grocery store. Excellent air conditioner with remote. Nice pool. Great staff. Bar and restaurant. Exercise room. Computer. Pool table. The only negative was that there are louvered windows with no screens. I kept them closed at night and the drapes pulled to keep the mosquitos out, and didn't have problems when I remembered to close them. Very clean and neat.

“Caribbean Sunset was great for the money”

This was great for the money I paid. Staff was nice and courteous. The Resort is not too far from the beach and the rooms were cleaned everyday. I was pleased.

Very nice hotel. Staff was the best! Very friendly. The location of the hotel was within walking distance to beach and shopping.

“Incredible Experience!”

I had a great time. The beautiful walk to the beach was great, about a 5 minute walk. Everything was so convenient ATM,Supermarket, Shopping. The staff members were so helpful, and best of all was the food and drinks at the resort! I will definitely will be returning! Thank you for such a beautiful stay!

“Great, relaxing just as a vacation should be”

The staying at the hotel was great. So relaxing. The view is amazing, the sun is warming. Just perfect for a relaxing vacation. The rooms was very nice and the staff is very frinedly. Next time I would bring my family with me.

“Negril - what do you want to find?”

First - Big Ups to Carew, night attendant at the Sunset, for helping me "find" my room and safe key after they fell out of my pocket in a cab earlier in the evening, saving my vacation! Aloha! As you may expect, the rest of the staff is helpful, laid back, resourceful, and a pleasure to work with. Rooms are large and clean, though lack phones and refrigerators at this time (an amenity staff promises to have soon). Renovation is in progress but the Sunset's location is prime for beach access; close to a supermarket (get an Easter Bun for breakfast!), drugstores, nightlife, and shops; and taking in the bustling of local life. The Sunset may not be the most aesthetically pleasing place you stay but in casual Negril, the real paradise is the people and the experience you make.
