Stayed for work 10/27-10/29

Posted 31-Oct-2014
Pros: Location
Cons: This hotel is in need of major repairs and a change in ownership. The current owners don't understand how to run a hotel in America.
Unfortunately my usual picks were sold out (Hilton Garden, Fairfield, Holiday Inn Express). No internet, no breakfast, door broken, towel rack broken, outlets broken, no lights on in hallways. Word is half the rooms are out of order and employees aren't being paid on time. I don't have particularly high standards, and I don't usually write reviews, but I would avoid this hotel at ALL COSTS. Stay at the Super 8.

Pros: Central location
Cons: Uniforms for staff.
Location: Everything is near by.
Found the motel to be very clean and inviting. The staff was friendly too. Staff could bone up on customer service.

Not much to say. Checked in at ~1:30am and checked out by 7:30am. Room was clean, bed comfortable and staff nice. Breakfast was hard to find.

RUN!!!!!!!

Posted 16-Sep-2014 on Hotels.com
Very run down, in need of renovations. Room number signs are sitting on the floor or written in pencil on the doors. Hallway carpets are filthy. Bathtub had had a respray finish years ago and was flaking off, you have to hold the handel to get the toilet to flush. There was a chair and ottoman in the room with some very gross looking stains on it, I refused to sit on it. We had a king bed that was at least comfortable and the linens were clean. The towels felt more like sandpaper and they provided 2 towels and 1 was cloth for 2 people, no hand towels. The breakfast was a joke, no juice, they could bring out some coffee and you had a choice of instant oatmeal, cherrios or rice crispies, a bowl of grapes that the manager was eating out of and assorted breads for toast. The saving grace was that the room was so dark, you could not see how dirty it was. My advice... RUN!!!!!!

Last minute stay

Posted 12-Sep-2014 on Hotels.com
It looked great from the outside. They up graded our room to a king suite. We arrived at 11:00pm. All brand name hotels were booked. Our room was on the second floor. Closest entrance was an unsecured door on the outside. Nonsmoking room smelled of smoke, cigarettes in desk drawer, broken lamp and chair in the corner, bathroom light did not work. Never stayed in a room this bad. If anyone else had a room we would have left. Next morning I found out the hotel had just been purchased ond they were renovating. Good luck!

Not safe, not working, not clean, not ever again

Posted 9-Sep-2014 on Hotels.com
This place is a dump. The place was bought from Holiday Inn two years ago and is still being "renovated". We were given a room and found the door open when we got there. That is the "NOT SAFE" part of my review title. There was also another room that was not secured. For safety reasons, we asked to be switched to another room.............. The second room a/c wasn't working. I tried to call the desk and the phone wasn't working. Those were two reasons that are the "NOT WORKING" part and one more (the phone not working) that is the "NOT SAFE" part.............. The third room was in a dark hallway that wasn't lighted. Another "NOT SAFE" part..... and when we got in the room, the toilet wouldn't stop running. Another "NOT WORKING" part. I lifted the lid of the toilet and found the most disgusting black mold that you can imagine. That makes up another "NOT SAFE" part and a "NOT CLEAN" part of my review title............. This place shouldn't be open for business.

What a poor surprise ... with lots of excuses

Posted 5-Sep-2014
Cons: Everything!
Last minute reservation but with 3 stars, what the heck. Checked in late around 9:30. Room looked similar to pics, but had an odor. Mosquitos the size of attack helicopters, but that was manageable. This morning when going in to shower, I pulled back the curtain and the tub looked very dirty. Upon inspection, it was deeply scratched and had a texture like plastic. After turning the water on, I noticed that smell again, like brackish water. Upon stepping in the tub, I thought I was stepping onto a water bed. The tub was a plastic cover over an old tub with caulking gone everywhere and water was under the liner and sloshed as you tried to move. I have video! Along with the sloshing and instability, came a rush of pungent odor, I guess from the stagnant water standing between the old tub and the fake tub. Terrible. I walked to the office and shared the observation that no one could have cleaned this room and not noticed what I perceived as two inches of water in this cavity. I inquired about the breakfast and was informed that they had reduced it to a continental breakfast around the corner. The largest styrofoam cup they had was a 4 oz cup. No one there, just bread, bagel, fruit loops (that matched my selection) and cheerios . All in all a terrible experience and great explanation for only 4 cars in lot this morning. Way below the standards of Expedia in their rating system. Would never go back!
