“Great”
Clean rooms ,great breakfast ,ones that work here are great
“A very positive experience”
I was surprised and pleased with the quality and value of these accommodations. The room was large, very well appointed and extremely clean with the usual amenities that I have come to expect at larger hotels. The free high speed wireless connected immediately, which was important to me. The staff at the Governor House was the most positive I have encountered in years of travel. I felt that they were sincere and really cared about my well being, which I feel, deserves a little recognition. I most certainly will return to this property in the future for business and with family. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Also - great restaurant on the property and didn't empty my wallet.
“Days gone by”
I have stayed at very expensive hotels and not enjoyed them as much. The bed had to be one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in. The hotel is a much older hotel so don't expect the garden tub or marble showers. It was like a walk down memory lane from years gone by when price ruled the stay. I found it to be very centrally located. My only advice when you stay here is make sure you request the fridge in your room or the extremely friendly staff will be bringing it to your room.

Excellent location. Although we didn't try the hotel's free breakfast, we did have breakfast at Bentley's, which was excellent.
“Good motel near restaurant.”
Good motel near a good breakfast/lunch restaurant. Comfortable beds, clean, and good maid service. A little old, but everything worked fine.
“A good Value in the Alexandria/ Falls Church area”
The hotel is a renovated older hotel and is fine and offered easy access to the Reagan Airport area. Apparently the management has put a lot into the hotel. There were also plenty of good unassuming restaurants nearby, including Mark's Duck House. There is also good basic shopping nearby. There is also good access from I- 395. I thought it might be noIsy, but I was placed in the rear and it was very quiet. The on-site restaurant also provided a good breakfast at a reasonable price.
“Terrific hotel”
Great staff - they want to please you. Bed was very comfortable, shower pressure fantastic. Breakfast is quite varied with eggs, waffles, oatmeal, yogurt, whole fruit, pastries. Was in town for funeral and family members were also very pleased with hotel. We will return on our next trip!
“OK hotel, but not great.”
This hotel needs a major renovation. The room furniture, bathroom and carpet have clearly seen better days. On the bright side, the desk staff is very helpful and the bedding appears to be clean enough. The room AC is rather loud but effective. I would not recommend this hotel, unless you get a gangbuster deal on the room.
“Better than expected.”
I picked this hotel because it was very close to my training venue and I was on a limited budget from my school board. It is an older hotel, so I didn't expect much. I was extremely happy with the comfort of the bed! They supply you with a lovely down blanket and a great mattress! The room and the bathroom were cleaned well, and the hotel reception was nice and efficient. There is a restaurant on the property where I got a superb breakfast, but they also serve lunch and dinner. The internet also worked great. I would not hesitate to stay here again.
“Don't recommend this hotel!”
The shower head did not work properly. The room was way to cold and there was no heat. Only the fan was working. I've never had a bad experience with a hotel before. This was a bad bad bad experience for me and my family and i had a visitor from Mexico, it was embarrassing staying in this hotel.
