“Very nice”

The Longwood Inn was an outstanding place to stay. The hotel was much more than expected. The room was better than any hotel room I have stayed in when in Boston before. The room did not have the used look like other hotels I have been in. The hotel had a very "at home" kind of feel, very welcoming and comfortable. The staff were great especially Ronda who was very helpful and friendly. The location is great and quiet yet very close and easy to get downtown. If you are tired of the chain hotels and want to stay in a place that makes you feel like you are at home while away, the Longwood Inn is the place. Looking forward to returning next year.

“A cozy, convenient stay”

The Longwood Inn is in a great location, with lots of restaurants and shops within walking distance, as well as close proximity to public transit. The Inn itself is beautiful, and the room I stayed in was clean, well-appointed, and comfortable. The rooms were on the small side, but not uncomfortably so. The free parking was a great bonus as well. Staff were friendly and helpful - I had to ask for some directions and I ended up getting a printed set of directions. I didn't take advantage of the kitchen but thought it was a great option. The rates were quite reasonable. Would definitely stay here again.

It's a nice little place, right near the metro, relatively close to the center.

“Felt like home”

It felt like coming home at this bed and breakfast. We had the basement bedroom with a private bath, and it was really nice. Didn't feel like a hotel at all. We loved the old decor, the comfortable feeling. Felt like being away at a cottage. The staff were very nice and helpful, and it was very clean. The home was a couple of blocks to the "T", so we didn't need a car. Great idea for an old house. We'd stay again.

“close to hospitals”

if you are in boston and need to be near the longwood hospital area this is the place to stay! walking distance and nearby shops for groceries to use in the fully equiped kitchen. comfortable rooms and very quiet.

“great place for long term stay”

This was a great place to stay while a parent was in the hospital nearby. It was homey and comfortable. Owners and guests were friendly and helped you not feel alone.

“Great place, great price!”

I stayed here for during work-related trip. What a gem! The price is great, the place is charming, and the owners were extremely helpful and accommodating (I arrived and left at odd hours). The house was spotless, including the kitchen, which is available for guests to use. The rooms are a little smaller and simpler than chain hotels, but they're charmingly decorated and have all the amenities I would want, anyway-- wireless internet, TV (flat screen), and a good shower. At almost half the cost of the nearby chains, I can't imagine NOT staying here.

“Somewhere different”

Longwood Inn is not your Standard International Hotel. It has it's own character. The room's are comfortable. Our's could have done with a little re-decorating but so what? The kitchen facility is especially useful if you want to cook for yourself. There is ample refridgerator space for keeping your own food

“Just right for us!”

This was a comfortable spot at a good price in a nice location. We could walk easily to BU to visit our daughter and also to Coolidge Corner and Brookline Village for restaurants, etc.

“Been there twice now”

I have stayed at the Longwood Inn twice - once in November and again in April. It's a quaint old house, I really like the non-motel feeling. The kitchen is great if you want to make a meal. The only problem I encountered was during my second stay. My room was downstairs, accessible only from the outside. It was a nice large room, but it didn't have any temperature control that I could find. It was an unusually cold April night and the room was cold when I got there. However, there was an electric heater in the closet (guess it does get cold in there sometimes!) so I cranked that up and was comfortable. I would stay there again if I'm in Boston.
