Immediate impact upon arrival. Great atmosphere.Posted 7-Sep-2014
Pros: The view across the water was lovely as were the studios.
Cons: MONA hosted a function on both nights we were there which meant it was very noisy. Room furniture worn and in need of repair, remote had flat battery.
Location: The view across the river is lovely, lots of walking opportunities and Salamanca just a short 20 minute trip away. Driving around is easy.
Arriving at MONA was an experience in itself, lipstick pink bean bags strewn comfortably on the front lawn occupied by anyone and everyone enjoying the sunshine and MONA vibe. Chooks, peacocks and other feathered friends wandering around scratching for grubs or devouring crumbs left behind by lawn dwellers. Surrounded by native gardens, MONA is full on yet laid back and offers an experience around every corner. you find yourself looking at every object and examining it for its individuality.

Lovely place to stayPosted 31-May-2014 on Hotels.com
An expensive but very special experience. Breakfast and the staff are marvelous. And the museum is, quite simply, fabulous.

We stayed in Arthur for 2 nights and had an amazing weekend. The Pavilions are beautiful - the outlook, the lovely deep bath with a view of the lake, the amazing artworks in the room, the big comfy bed and a very well-stocked fridge and separate wine fridge - what more could you want? Staff were lovely and so helpful and the museum itself was an experience too! The pool and sauna were beautiful. We also had breakfast and dinner at The Source restaurant which was again faultless. Would return in a heartbeat!

Excellent stay at MONA PavillionsPosted 7-Aug-2013
Pros: The fact we could visit the Museum whenever we wanted during our stay & of course, the accomodation was excellent.
Location: Great views of Hobart & the Derwent River just outside our room - excellen!!
We thoroughly enjoyed MONA Pavillions. The room had great views of the Derwent and was very comfortable. The facilities were excellent and we found everything we needed when we decided to cook in the room. It was serviced daily by very helpful staff & we will certainly try to go back to MONA. The benefit of being onsite was great as we could visit the Museum whenever we wanted & did not have to pay entrance fees. The restaurant was very good - great food & wonderful service.

Three days in ParadisePosted 13-May-2013
Pros: The convenience of the location to the MONA gallery and the privacy.
Cons: The air-conditioner was initially blowing out cold and then hot air but when we asked for room service, the problem was solved instantly.
Location: Location, location, location - perfect.
The concept of having accommodation a few steps away from the MONA art/museum gallery is very accommodating for anyone who wants to spend a lot of time exploring and understanding the concept of the gallery, but does not have the physical capability to spend hours at a time. The staff were extremely professional and yet so warm and friendly and said they loved working at MONA! I feel there is a lot of generosity in their giving of service to guests and visitors at the gallery. The view overlooking the Derwent River from pavilion BRETT was for ever changing. The location was paradise for anyone who is a lover of nature, a photographer or a private person. Room service was prompt and offered with respectful friendliness. My only complaint was there was only exotic tea leaves to make a pot of tea, but when I requested regular green tea bags they appeared with such gusto and pride, I was overwhelmed.

Perfect if you can get itPosted 25-Mar-2013 on Hotels.com
The Museum is, in a word, incredible. The restaurant -- particularly with wine pairing on the degustation -- out of this world. And the pavilion -- we were in the Esmond -- was simply fantastic. Couldn't have been better.

MONA MONA MONA - You're going to love MONA!Posted 16-Jul-2012 on Hotels.com
MONA is a must see when visiting Hobart & Australia! The museum houses the most ecliptic and amazing international private art collection and the architecture is stunning. The MONA Pavilions provide 5 star accommodation which are part of the the MONA complex, situated next to the museum, brewery, winery and they overlook the Derwent River, they provide the perfect getaway for art lovers and lovers in general. I highly recommend it, and I will be going back and staying for longer. AAA+

Loved loved loved our stay cannot fault it apart from on both mornings our cold water wasn't working for over 30 min each day. On our last day we had to get maintenance in so we wouldn't miss our flight so everything was rushed. But all was well managed once the problem was discovered.

not worth the pricePosted 15-Apr-2012
Cons: the source restaurant
Location: beautiful surrounds and view
Lovely but i expected more for the price. It should have included dinner. The gallery was awesome. We had dinner at "the source" restaurant which is at the hotel, definately not worth the money. We had the degustation, 5 out of 7 dishes contained fish, just a bit much for us considering i told them i'm fine with red meat and poultry.
