“it is great and superb please visit acapulco at le”
hotel location is very nice, staff is very co operative. lots of security. very clean
“Great Location and Value”
We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The room was spacious with a lovely view of the ocean. The room had obviously been remodeled not long ago and had a very comfortable Kind Size bed with a large bathroom and dressing area. The cleaning staff kept our room immaculate and the towels provided were large and plush. The pool area was very nice. The hotel was a 1/2 block away from the bus line that traveled up and down the Costera to the downtown area. The yellow buses were air-conditioned and a good option for getting around. Walmart is across the street, and Starbucks is a block away if you require a latte. The only issue we had one night was some late night revelers having a pretty loud conversation after they got off the elevator, but they quickly departed. Overall, I'd stay there again and recommend the hotel to friends.
“Great Rooms”
The bi-lingual staff was very courteous, and filled our request for adjoining rooms. One of the rooms was a corner, and we were rewarded with wrap around balconies. My only wish was that the rooms could have been higher, but we still had a view of the bay. The rooms were very comfortable with plush bedding, and a delightful mix of modern and rustic decor. The balconies were roomy, and had table and chairs. The showers had hot water, and we had plenty of towels. Loved the refrigerator, and housekeeping brought us another coffee maker when we noticed that one of rooms had one and the other didn't. Hotel is still being renovated, so one of the pools wasn't open yet. Had towel service just for the pool area - wonderful. Definitely would recommend this hotel to others. We had a group of six adults, and the two rooms gave us plenty of room.
“Instead of a shower I would prefer a bath”
The hotel is very nice, and even though it is being renovated it was very pleasant
“grand hotel”
excellent
“It dosen't have to be real new and shining to impress”
see above, I will add that the view from the upper floors is outstanding. Hotel is located in the older part of town.
“Excellent Hotel, great value, but police are rogue and pray on tourist for money"”
Hotel experience was very pleasing, however we would not return for the simple fact that the police are criminals and intimidate and rob US tourist for cash.
“hope they finish remodeling soon”
Very nice pool area, friendly staff, good breakfast buffet. They are remodeling the rooms and the one we got really needs remodeling. It had the smallest TV I have ever seen in a hotel room and the bathroom fixtures wer in bad shape. Also you could hear all the noise of the room next door. Very clean though
“not too special”
beds were uncomfortable and small, tv was old fashioned with no english channels and no cable tv. This was a 4.5 star hotel so I was suprised. Overall the staff was very nice/helpful and the hotel was clean. I would stay there again.
“Ignore the critics; this hotel is great!!”
I'd heard good things about the Grand Hotel in Acapulco from a friend who'd stayed there a while ago, so I was surprised when I made the booking that there were a number of reviews about the hotel needing renovation. But management has been redoing most of the rooms and implementing extensive renovations throughout the hotel, so this is less an issue now. The rooms were lovely and first rate, with any amenity I wanted at my disposal. The pool is beautiful and well kept up. The dining facilities were excellent and the food was very good, even if one of the restaurant managers was snarky. They need to get better about explaining their rates though, as this was a source of continual consternation during my stay. On the whole, I'd go back, and have encouraged friends to go.
