Clean hotel, well maintained. Staff were helpful and the room was cleaned everyday. The food (breakfast and dinner) was very good, much better than expected! Will definitely stay again. My only issue were the mosquitos in the room at night. Finally realised they were coming in through the gap at bottom of the door.

We stayed at this hotel expecting a 4-star experience, but unfortunately it fell well below our expectations. The biggest issue was the lack of air conditioning in the rooms. It was extremely hot, making it very difficult to sleep. When we raised this with reception, we were simply told to open the window, which only resulted in bugs coming into the room. We also spoke to other guests who said they were experiencing the same problem, so it clearly wasn’t an isolated issue. The rooms also lacked basic amenities such as bathrobes and slippers, which you would normally expect from a hotel of this standard. The beds were uncomfortable, and my mum experienced back pain during our stay. The hotel itself is in need of a complete refresh. The lobby looked dated, with old, mismatched sofas that certainly didn’t give the impression of a 4-star property. Housekeeping was also inconsistent, if we left our towels hanging up, they assumed we didn’t need any fresh ones and didn’t replace them. The food was acceptable, but it was very bland and often lacked flavour. The beach next to the hotel was disappointing. The sand was dark, sticky, and poorly maintained. Walking along the seafront, we passed what appeared to be a derelict building covered in graffiti, as well as a nearby camping area, which really detracted from the surroundings. The only real highlights were the swimming pool and the terrace attached to our room, which had a lovely view. Overall, we were disappointed.

We booked this hotel expecting a four-star experience and paid extra for the premium upgrade. Unfortunately, it fell well short. The biggest disappointment by far was the food. Breakfast was genuinely poor, and the buffet seemed terrified of seasoning. If you're coeliac, vegetarian or especially lactose intolerant, the choice is extremely limited. The Mexican restaurant somehow managed to remove every trace of flavour from Mexican food, we actually walked out without finishing our meal. We didn't even bother with the Brazilian restaurant after seeing the lack of vegetarian options. The premium upgrade wasn't worth the money. Table service was erratic, the food only marginally better, and on the very day we upgraded I was charged for a beer I'd ordered an hour earlier. Technically within the rules? Yes. Needlessly petty Absolutely. The mattress was worn out and uncomfortable, but the biggest concern after the food was the cockroaches. We encountered them in our room, around the hotel eating areas, and even found a dead one in the corridor outside our room. We appreciate insects exist in the Canary Islands, but seeing them in guest accommodation and dining areas was concerning enough that we went out and bought our own insecticide spray. From Thursday onwards, heavy bass from a nearby beach stage continued until around 3am every night, making sleep difficult. The only real positive was the lovely lady who checked us in.
