Gambier Island Adventure Vacations

We enjoyed our four-night stay at Revival English Bay. The room and bathroom were extremely clean, and the bed and pillows were comfortable. The motorized black out patio shades were helpful for sleeping in. The kitchenette was well-supplied. We appreciated having the microwave and ample-sized refrigerator, and we found it convenient to have the extra sink. The front desk staff were all very friendly and professional. A special shout-out to Maggie for her helpful advice throughout our stay. The hotel location was ideal, with Denman Street right around the corner featuring a wonderful selection of restaurants (particularly loved Nook and Tavola). There was a full supermarket and pharmacy in the adjacent mall, and nice lattes at 93 Coffee next door. Everything was walkable--Stanley Park and the Seawall walk were highlights. We walked to Granville Island over the Burrard Street Bridge, and headed to Canada Place and the surrounding area on foot as well. The parking garage was safe, attached to the hotel, with easy in-out access. We drove to Lynn Canyon, only 30 minutes away, and hiked some beautiful trails. We will be back to Vancouver, and would love to stay at Revival English Bay again!

Perfect central location, very friendly staff

Embarc Vancouver 1 bedroom suite was tasteful, comfortable, very well equipped and in an excellent location. The staff were exceptional and assisted us with a few things requiring help. Views from any room are fantastic. I would highly recommend to any visitors to Vancouver.

Families look elsewhere - I booked a one bedroom that in all photos on the hotel’s website has a wall and door between the kitchen space and the bedroom. The room we were given only had thin sliding translucent panels between the bedroom and the kitchen space so anyone sleeping in the bedroom could see and hear everything in the kitchen space. My parents also booked a one bedroom and got the same sliding translucent janky panels instead of an actual bedroom. I reached out to staff to ask if we were accidentally given the wrong room and were ignored for a while then they stated that the room is in fact a one bedroom despite it lacking a fire rated door and an egress window. At 10pm on our second night they offered us another room (we were only staying two nights and returning after our cruise). I requested a partial refund of $100 per night and confirmation on our return that we would get an actual one bedroom- four days later and no response from Natalia, the manager. Also our bathroom didn’t lock and had yet again one of those translucent sliding door instead of an actual door. Note: you also cannot get dropped off or picked up in the front because it’s a bus lane. You can only be collected from the back which has several steep steps and lacks a ramp for wheelchair/luggage use. Look and book elsewhere.

The lobby and reception areas are very dark and kind of depressing.

The property is straight out of the 1990’s. Bar is directly under the rooms so you will hear the music until 2:00am. On the weekends. The brewery next door is great. The hotel is fair for the price. No issues if you know what to expect when you arrive. We had no issues
