« The location is simply fabulous. You walk out the back patio on grass and then black volcanic rock to the edge of the ocean surf. From the house, we delighted in exploring the network of roads and trails in the Pahoa district south of Hilo. Not to be missed is Uncle Robert's community music and food festival every Wednesday evening. In Hilo, the Pacific Tsunami Museum and the Lyman Museum are outstanding as well as the Hawaiian Tropical and Botanical Gardens, Akaka Falls and the Waipio Valley...

« Good location to take advantage of the Hilo area and the east side of the Big Island. Very clean and safe. Beautiful home. Had just about everything we needed during our stay. We would stay here again, book with confidence. Left us a nice welcome package and included a dozen fresh eggs. Very much appreciated. One little thing, there is a gas grill, but if you use it there is an additional cleaning fee. That should have been disclosed in the property description. »

« What a delightful stay we had in our beautifully appointed clean as a whistle VRBO on the Hamakua coast of the big island. It had absolutely everything one would need and then some (thoughtful sleep masks). Large refrigerator, washer and dryer, extremely well equipped. The fresh fruit and fresh eggs in the fridge was just a great touch. All this and the adorable unobtrusive little pets and chickens made this a perfect stay Big Mahalo to Dan and Mollie, great hosts »

« We stayed in this house for 2 of our 6 days on the Big Island, and it was everything we could have hoped for as a home base for our visit to Hilo and Volcano National Park. It's located in a neighborhood on a gravel road that didn't get much traffic. We felt safe with the fully fenced yard and driveway gates. The best part of each day was the night. Between seeing way more stars than we see at home to the sound of the frogs and lizards putting us to sleep (along with the occasional rain). The...

It was my first time in unit rental and it truly felt like a home away from home!! Everything was just as they say it was in the listing and the property owner/manager was super kind and patient.
