The hotel was lovely and the room was very spacious with soothing nautical decor. It was well situated along Lake Ontario and within walking distance of the town and theaters. The breakfast was delicious with a nice offering of ham and egg omelette and a French toast bread pudding that was amazing. They had bikes to rent and a nice bike path along the lake. The afternoon wine and cheese was a great perk. This hotel is nice for seniors and the free shuttle service to and from the restaurants and theaters was another great perk. We will definitely stay there again.

The people side of the staff as it relates to the kitchen, or outstanding. I thoroughly enjoyed interacting with them and they could not have been nicer. The remainder of the staff performed their functions as necessary.

The hotel was very clean. The staff was very helpful and the breakfast was freshly done every morning, and the hotel was nicely located while we were there for a week. We only had to use the shuttle car once to go to a winery everything else was in walkable distance. The only issue that we really had was on Thursday when we came back to our room early around noon to freshen up, we noticed our door was open and nobody else was around in the hall and when I call down to reception to tell them that I had computers and cameras inside the room that housekeeping did come over and tell me that they were sorry that they left the door open and unattended I felt very insecure with my work stuff from that on as well as the air-conditioning and the exhaust vent for the room did not work as fully as should have why I say that is because when I use the bathroom, the exhaust fan did not take the stink out of the room and the odor drifted right into the bedroom and we would have to leave the room as well as the AC. It was colder in the hallways in the bedroom would only get down to around 72° and outside was 74 - 78° each day.

Not worth it for $386/night!! After seeing the reviews and photos of the charming Harbour House hotel, I had high hopes that this would meet our expectations - sadly, this was not the case. A few things to note: the exterior of the building is in need of repair - there's damage to a bay window on the top floor which is visible from the parking lot. The room was decorated with cheap Homesense quality art and pillows. The floor lamp was bent, the floor boards have many visible scuff marks, the bathroom tub & shower need to be regrouted/recaulked and the bed skirt had visible mud on it on the left side. Additionally, the room has NO beverages, or snacks. The fridge is empty, there is a pitcher for water that you can get on the 2nd floor which tastes like mildewy lake water, no bending machine if you're hungry or thirsty for something else. Room service offers things like chocolate covered strawberries for $38 but not much else that's reasonably priced or appealing. Breakfast is included but only starts at 8 AM, which I feel is way too late. Checking out was not asked how our stay was, just told us we were already paid up and free to go.

Wasn’t unclean but there was a lot of dust around skirting boards in the communal toilet. Looked a bit tired in places. Well located for a short stroll into town and with nice views. Staff were really mixed - some very friendly, others less so and one woman was very brusque and spoke quite rudely. Would benefit from being able to purchase drinks and snacks - there’s no bar, which is highly unusual for somewhere that has hotel in the name.

Stayed for $500 expecting a nice, cozy and traditional inn by the lake. It ended up being very dirty. Specifically, the floor had not been vaccumed at all. The bathroom floor had stains on the floor around the toilet that had not been cleaned. This was a completely unacceptable standard of hygiene for a 4 star hotel.
