Old by tidy. The bathroom is in a hallway that connects bedroom and a small living room.the shower was uncomfortably small and water was extremely hot after it took awhile to warm up. Beds are double not queen sized as advertised. Bathroom sink faucet needs to be tightened (flops over to the basin). Towel racks and toilet paper holder need to be secured as well. Kitchen table very sticky even when wiped! Rooms are above a noisy bar/tavern open until 1 am. Receptionist answered phone, and instead of putting that call on hold , made us wait until she was done with that call. We got a great welcome at the Angel, The pub/hotel is quirky and full of character. The food was really good and the staff couldn’t be nicer. It is a pity that you can’t make a hot drink in your room as there is no morning catering.
