"This is a very good hotel, and overall I was very happy with the services. My only concern was the behaviour of some of the front-desk staff. Diego, who covers the night shift, was extremely helpful, courteous, and soft-spoken. Unfortunately, my experience with the morning-shift staff, particularly Margarita, was very different. I found her behaviour extremely rude and had a very unpleasant experience. Because of the way she handled the situation, my family and I were left waiting at Penn Station for more than 30 minutes, around 11 PM. It was only after I called the hotel repeatedly and Diego arrived for his shift that we finally received the help we needed. I also found some of the other morning-shift staff to be quite rude and unhelpful. In addition, we were left with the impression that Margarita’s behaviour may have been influenced by our race, which made the experience even more upsetting for us. I would strongly recommend that management review this matter and address how guests are treated at the front desk, as this can have a significant impact on an otherwise excellent hotel experience. That said, I did not allow this interaction to affect the rest of my stay. I was very happy with the hotel overall and with the services provided, and I would like to acknowledge Diego in particular for his professionalism and assistance."
