It was easy to find parking. We traveled with our dog and they were pet friendly. The room was clean and had everything to make our 2 nights pleasant. My family and I woul stay here again.
Room was very clean, and well insulated from the sound of the wind and temperatures. Amenities were excellent. Staff/Manager was very professional and pleasant. 5/5
Nice & Cozy! Great Price. Needs a new Toilet, Shower Doors are loose & bathrooms flooring needs replacing. Overall Staff & Place are nice!! Will stay again if ever in the area!! Thanks
We’ve stayed at Bluebird many times and always love coming back. The location is beautiful, the staff are friendly, and the hotel is generally clean and welcoming.
Our only concern during this stay was finding pet hair throughout the bedding. We appreciate that the hotel is pet-friendly, but we still expect the bed to be thoroughly cleaned and free of hair from previous guests’ pets. Traveling with our young baby made this especially concerning and uncomfortable.
We love this hotel and hope more attention will be given to cleaning and checking the bedding between guests. Otherwise, we’ve always enjoyed our stays here.
The bed was very comfortable, the room had everything we needed, we had a great time😜

Liked: Staff & service
Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
The Good : nice location beautiful setting and lots of potential.
The bad:Outdated and not well kept cabins, very old and torn carpet , cracked sink and cracked shelves , smelled old and dirty main door .
Cute, rustic property and rooms, very short drive into town or 15 min walk in nice weather. Staff were great. This is a great budget friendly place to stay.
I arrived late so my cottage assignment, map to it, and key we’re waiting for me. The owners really want your stay to be memorable! The parking was a bit tricky for my Harley. The room was way more than I expected, with big city amenities. This was one of my all time best stays! You really wanted to hang out on the deck and just unwind. This is a “must stay” location!
Cottages were quaint and clean. We had a small dog and they were allowed at the cottages. The nearby town of Idyllwild is lovely with good restaurants and a nice place to just walk around and go in shops. The Mountain setting is stunning.
I had a very peaceful and comfortable stay. The room was clean overall, aside from a few cobwebs, and the property itself was quiet and well maintained.
I stayed in a corner room with two large windows, which gave me a great view of the surrounding trees and wildlife. The room was comfortable and worked well as a relaxing place to read and unwind.
I only saw a staff member during check-in, but I did not consider that a negative. The property felt private and undisturbed, and I did not need any assistance during my stay.
Overall, this was a quiet and comfortable place to get away, especially for someone looking to relax and enjoy nature and the mountain surroundings.
