« We decided to rent a beach house to house a few family members who flew over from Catalina Island to come to my Dad's Celebration of Life! Both my Aunt and Uncle from Catalina Island are 87 and 90 Years old. The house was very comfortable and easily accessible with a cane. Although we did experience some rainfall having the rocks embedded in the entrance floor and stairs made it easy for them to go up and down the stairs. My mother and I took advantage of the Kayaks and stand up paddle board one...

« We spent 3 nights at Raul’s guesthouse which felt more like a very spacious condo! It is safe with a gated driveway and a backyard that never ends! The fruit trees, the flowers and the landscape are absolutely stunning. Now for interior, there are only positives critiques to be said here. Everything is high end, they provide you with so many things that it is easy to cook your own meals! They have lots of pots and pans, dishes etc… but no condiments. Every inch of this place is taken care of....

« Loved our stay at this lovely cottage set on 9 beautiful acres. It felt like we were actually guests of the original plantation house. Stayed for thirteen nights, and were joined by our daughter for five nights. Plenty of room for the three of us. Favorite times were morning coffee and afternoon cocktails on the veranda. Easy drive to both Hilo and Volcano, and Foodland grocery is a mile away. Highly recommend. »

« What a delightful stay we had in our beautifully appointed clean as a whistle VRBO on the Hamakua coast of the big island. It had absolutely everything one would need and then some (thoughtful sleep masks). Large refrigerator, washer and dryer, extremely well equipped. The fresh fruit and fresh eggs in the fridge was just a great touch. « This is our second year renting out this house. It was a perfect fit the first year so we wanted to come back again this year. The house is spacious with the upstairs and downstairs rooms, bathrooms. The garage was big enough to fit two vehicles which was perfect for the rainy days. The house is fully stocked with all the amenities. We would stay here again if needed and would highly recommend families to do so too. This was truly our home away from home. Mahalo! »

« Overall it was acceptably clean, I too live in Hawaii with open windows and know what to expect. Given the price, this was more than I expected and I enjoyed my stay immensely. The decor was well done and very esthetically pleasing. Fixing the window screens and cleaning the livingroom a/c unit would seem to be an easy fixes to improve the property. »

« The owners are very friendly, we let them know when we were coming and they greeted us when we arrived to walk through the property. In the morning we were greeted with spectacular views of Hilo and fresh bananas from the garden. This property is great for eco-conscious visitors, as the owners make great efforts to reduce their impact on the environment and teach visitors about their efforts as well. A few things to note: despite being about 3 miles outside of Hilo, it takes a solid 10-15...

« We loved this place so much! Thoughtful furnishings, a very nice house, but best of all is the location! We saw whales, stars, goats, wild pigs, sunrises, ships and barges, beautiful waves, and fruit trees. It was peaceful and quiet—away from all the people and bustle. But a quick trip to Hilo and other small towns with amenities. Perfect location to go to Volcanoes or just anywhere on the island. »

« My husband and I so enjoyed our stay in the Pineapple Cottage at Hulili Farm. While the location made sight-seeing around the island easy, we often opted to stay in and enjoy the sound of the rain on the roof and the sway of the hanging bed on the lanai. We hope to come back again soon! »
