"Such a quaint property in a historic home turned into a b & b. The living room and kitchen were such welcoming spaces with beautiful art pieces on the wall and bookcases. The room we stayed in was pretty small, luckily the warmness of the owner and the common spaces made us feel taken care of and at home. "
"We enjoyed our stay here. The apartment is centrally located in the city center, walkable to main attractions, yet quiet and peaceful. The bed is comfortable, Wifi reliable, good water pressure, plenty of hot water, easy check-in, great communication with the host. I enthusiastically recommend this apartment when in Reykjavik."
" Location. It was centrally located with lots of shopping and good eateries. The Hotel itself was very comfortable, clean with friendly and helpful staff."

"We really enjoyed our stay. The hotel was very centrally located and very charming. Parking was an issue at the beginning but by the end of our stay it was better"
"The front desk staff was exceptional in helping us. My husbands bag did not arrive and they answered any questions we had. Louisa was especially good to us. The rooms are somewhat dated. But the bed and pillows were very comfortable. Easy walking to everything even though not right downtown. Transportation for tours was very easy. It’s nice to have the bar and lounge and they do have happy hour 3-6. Overall our stay was very good and I would stay here again. The bakery on site is wonderful. We did have the breakfast buffet one day and it was ok. Dinner and our bar food were good. "
"I’m a 36 year old American and have been to Reykjavik 6 times now. I have stayed at Exeter for the last 3 and I wouldn’t stay anywhere else. The staff is fantastic and very accommodating. The location is perfect and most rooms have a very nice view. Great bakery and restaurant in the lobby. "
"Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. It is probably the most convenient hotel to stay at for the Reykjavík Marathon as it located right by the finish area and a short walk to the starting area. If you’re considering running in 2026 make your reservation there early. Restaurants and shops are all just a short walk from the property. There’s no parking on the premises but the staff will help you figure out what app to use to easily use the public parking that is nearby. "
The dynamic architectural design and picturesque location of this modern civic building near the Tjörnin lakeside has made it a landmark in downtown Reykjavík.
This humble church is Reykjavík’s oldest. It holds great historical importance as both the center of Iceland’s Lutheran faith and the birthplace of independence.
The sculptural glass façade of Reykjavík’s premier concert hall and conference center shines over the harbor, reflecting the water and the city’s energy.
