Thank you so much for the opportunity to stay at such a warm and amazing home! This was far and away our best VRBO experience. The location was perfect, the home was amazing, the supplies were more than we needed, and as a result, the trip was wonderful! Thank you again!
We had a wonderful time at Peaceful Pines. I love the decor and the set up. The cabin felt clean and homey. There is a fantastic amount of seating outside on the deck and we appreciated being able to use the grill. I love that the cabin is pet friendly and the little twin beds set up is so cute for kids. Just three things to note, as far as suggestions or a heads up to visitors. 1. The beds are very, very firm - much too firm for me, but some may like that. Some of us left with back pain. 2. There was a huge selection of games, but sadly many were missing pieces or were a big mess. 3. The loft area has a huge gap between the railing and the floor. This would make me very concerned for anyone with a toddler or crawling baby. I would highly recommend filling that gap, as this is actually super dangerous. We were nervous with our 3 year old being up there.
Other than that, we had a fantastic time. We would stay there again. Thank you!
Comfortable home, but we definitely have some suggestions....
This IS a comfortable family home and a quiet home base for the Murphy's <-> Bear Valley area.
But we do have suggestions...(we understand it is a NEW rental)....
1. The garage has table-tennis, pool table and darts, but we didn't discover it until day 3 because it's not listed anywhere on VRBO or in the home materials
2. I have been to 28 states, 4 CN provinces, 10 countries and 4 continents. This is the very first time I've been asked to buy my own TP (ran out on day 4), paper towels (day 5), bar soap (day 6) and kleenex and laundry detergent (not provided). Aside from perhaps the laundry soap, this is all on the the realty company...$25 more dollars and the review gets another star or two!!!
3. The washing machine motor burned out the first time we used it (half load). With the nearest do-it-yourself washer located in Angel's Camp (Arnold's 1.5 star store was temporarily closed), the realty company did let us use another cabin's washer to finish that load.
4. Four of the five of us are highly-skilled tech people, but we never figured out how to get the living room TV to work. 1/10 times we could get to the streaming page, but it was never repeatable. We understand that many owners (like this one) discontinue their Directv service when they rent their homes ("television" was listed as an amenity), but if only streaming, it should say that AND there should be instructions to get to the streaming page.
5. To use the Blue Lake amenities, $20/day/person
My family had a wonderful time at this beautiful cabin. The layout of the home is wonderful, the deck is fantastic and was convenient as it was very close to the golf course and pool! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!!
Great house in Blue Lake Springs neighborhood. Stayed in summer and A/C worked great. Lots of cooking utensils. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Large deck which had gates was great to contain toddler and dog. Would definitely stay again
Cabin was great, definately large enough for our group of 6, plus baby & small dogs. Deck was huge, & we loved the little inlaw unit & game room. Kitchen well equipped & plenty of extras throughout. A few minor things to note: loft has large gap between railing & floor, so watch small dogs or kids. Could not get tvs to work, but we didnt come to watch tv. Never could find any darts for gameroom dart board. Also, the cabin is on corner of a major street, so you will hear plenty of traffic. Otherwise, everything was perfect!
The property was nice but we did have a few issues. We had a mouse leaving a bit of a trail in places. We had a bear I think in part because the previous renters left their trash in the bear locker the bear locker was a breeze to get into and made a horrible stinky mess. Which we were face with cleaning up. A lot of light bulbs were out and the outdoor furniture was falling apart. We’ve been coming up for years and even with the issue we had a great time.
