"Overall, the experience was fine. However, the air conditioning in the room failed. After waiting on hold multiple times for long periods of time, they sent a “technician” - who looked at the unit and left. Eventually a box fan showed up. Someone from the hotel was supposed to be in touch with me about the situation, and it never happened."

"The room was clean and had plenty of room for a king room. The bed was super comfortable and the water pressure was great .. we asked for extra towels and they brought them right up. The staff was super pleasant and the whole atmosphere was wonderful. I would stay there again in a heartbeat!"

"Great location in the middle of shopping and restaurants. Lots of closed stores though in the Union Square area. The hotel is older but the staff are great with clean rooms. Everything worked well and we enjoyed our stay there as usual. We’ve traveled to San Francisco for years but more regularly now that we’ve retired and we usually stay at the Chancellor Hotel. We love the small, family run atmosphere. The cute bar in the lobby is perfect with popcorn and cookies. We don’t drive here so not sure about parking. We like jumping on the cable cars right outside. Walgreens is right up the street for convenience. "
