The staff SUCKS! They were very unhelpful and unsympathetic. I told them I had have a really rough two weeks prior to coming and was short on sleep and just needed rest. I also called the night I was supposed to check in because my first flight was delayed, making me miss my connecting flight to San Diego and thus missing a night if staying in the hotel. After all it took for me to get to the city and the hotel, I simply wanted to be heard, respected, and accommodated. From the moment I arrived until I left, I was told the occupancy was too high to accommodate me. The first night, they did nothing to resolve my noise complaint after sticking me next to a 24-hour gym. On the last day, I asked to get a late check out and they cried high occupancy once again and told me the latest I could check out was noon. However, I heard the male staff tell a family who was checking in that they could switch rooms—mind you one was a king room like mine! I’m not sure how occupancy suddenly decreased for that family for the man to even offer to change their rooms, but I felt it was discriminatory. The other guest politely declined, but as you can imagine, it was a slap in my face after having wait a whole sleepless night to get my room moved. I have already spoken to customer relations to start a formal complaint.
