While staying in this resort we also were making a fire in the firepit nearby and roasted a barbecue, baked potatoes, and all that stuff... It was really an awesome feeling, like staying at a resort and camping at the same time. Amazing!

Very peaceful and quiet place. A place to rejuvinate, relax, and unwind and just slow things down. Place sure could use a bit of Upgrades and renos. At its present state, still ok. Just wished they had more amenities like a outdoor tub, indoor pool, basketball court, a trail or beach access, board games, and other indoor recreation. Customer service is fantastic however. front desk/reception amazing. Maybe a coffee and cookies station would be nice as well at the reception, to promote Salt spring coffee.

The only good thing about this property is the location. Its spectacular. The accommodation itself is inferior, tired, worn out and dated. The fridge is so rusty and has a broken shelf. I was reluctant to use it. The kitchen counter had huge chips in it making cleaning impossible. The upholstery on the furniture was stained and filthy. We covered it with a towel to sit on it. The carpets are stained and filthy. The front curtains are ripped. Some of the windows have no screen, so you cant open them, unless you like bugs inside. Lastly, the cleaning is superficial as we had to move the couch and found a dirt shadow matching the couch. That indicated it hadn't been cleaned in weeks. I would not recommend this property to anyone. It is certainly not worth the money they are charging.

The buildings are a bit old so some wear & tear on tiles around spa bath & elsewhere in the buildings. They have a drip coffeemaker, stovetop, microwave, & BBQ in each chalet (no oven) & fully outfitted kitchen (dishes, pans, etc.). No grocery within walking distance so you have to bring stuff with you. Wood furnace inside but also electric heat if you're visiting during the cold season. We'll be back. :)

Stayed in a 1 bedroom cabin. Beautiful view and excellent noise insulation because we didn't hear the road or our neighbours. Part of the reason for that is the lack of opening windows and a screen over the front door. This year was particularly bad for mosquitoes, and hornets were always present so we limited our eating outdoors despite the spectacular view. Many of the days were in the high 20C range so this made the cabin exceptionally hot and the only two means of ventilation were the front door and the bathroom window. Opening the front door left us open to mosquitoes and hornets so we had to keep emptying the garbage to keep the hornets away, and unfortunately received daily mosquito bites. We left the bathroom window open constantly as it did have a screen and none of the other windows opened. The ceiling vent was screened and opened but unfortunately didn't help much, and neither did the ceiling fan or two floor fans. The kitchen was quite well equipped, and I resorted to using the BBQ to replace the oven to some extent, which also kept the cabin cool, although the BBQ is placed right outside the front door so that the heat and fumes came right inside. The bed was caved in the middle and was hard. There was lots of shelf space. The bathroom was nice and clean. Our toilet did not stop after we flushed. Kids liked the sofa bench but it was too bright to sleep in. Blackout curtains are a necessity not a want. We would happily return when it is colder outside.

The one bedroom cabin is so cute. It was very quiet so I had very good sleep at night when I stayed there. I also like the jetted tub which made me feel very relaxed.
