A notre arrivée nous n’avons pas eu la chambre que nous avions réserver. (Standard,1 grd lit un balcon) Nous avons eu à la place une chambre standard sans balcon, avec fenêtre qui donne sur les couloirs et des stores casser, resultats chambres très sombres !! Les fenêtres se ferme à peine. Je le fait constater, la première fois on me répond que c’est un balcon commun. Deuxième fois je demande à ce qu’on vérifie ma réservation, effectivement ils se sont trompées mais plus de place dans l’hôtel. Pour s’excuser ils nous offrent les repas midi et soir. Arrivée le soir, la serveuse a dis qu’on voulait pas manger, alors qu’on lui avait bien expliquer, donc à 21h on s’est retrouver avec le problème de chercher un restaurant. Le lendemain soir, 19h50 on nous dis que la cuisine est fermée ! Je fait comprendre mon mécontentement et le cuisinier accepte par la suite. Nous avons trouvé ça très limite pour un hôtel 3\*, malgré le personnel de la réception gentils. Il est pourtant bien située à proximité de là plages. Le ménage pendant le séjour n’a pas était fait, donc pas de réassort de papier toilette par exemple et 0 bouteille d’eau à disposition dans la chambre. La musique tourne une grosse partie de la nuit sans clients, chambre mal insonorisée, vous entendez tout. A 7h45 quelqu’un a essayer de rentrer dans notre chambre, femme de ménage ? Pour un départ à 12h cela me parait tôt. Je ne recommanderais cet hôtel pour dépanner une nuit ou deux. Aux dernières nouvelles, il s’appelle maintenant Greencoast mais il aurait changé 4 fois de nom au cours de l’année... ce qui est très problématique pour le trouver avec votre gps d’autant que le poste de police situé à 20m ne le connaît pas !! Sinon c’est un petit hôtel sympathique pour une nuit ou deux mais pas plus. Le personnel fait des efforts et la chambre est correcte sauf la salle de bain qui laisse vraiment à désirer. I really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Checkin. However, there are few things to be mindful for those that are visiting this hotel as an English speaking traveler. First of all, the property is not huge and as result there is limited beach front space available. However, the staff works diligently to maintain the property and there's always someone friendly at the front desk to help with any request you may have. It's not a 5 star resort, but its a cute little hotel where you can setup and have the option to check out the beach or local shops. Having breakfast available as part of the stay is also handy. Second, IF you only speak English, it's a little tough to communicate as most of the staff are not very fluent (including the bar). In that case, ask for Danna at the front desk who speaks English very well and was extremely helpful! She was kind enough to help us with various translation needs. Lastly, the hotel is located at the end of the street and its sometimes hard to find. There's another Hotel Checkin nearby and that leads to some confusion about the location. This could be challenging if you're trying to locate the hotel or if using Uber. Overall, my family really enjoyed the stay and consider this hotel as a small gem at the Cortecito beach. Everything is old in this property, rundown, and dirty. I had no hot water, the windows in my room didn’t lock, the bed sheets were dirty, the towels stank, etc. The breakfast is extremely basic and in one of the days they could only serve one of the options as it was all they had available (from the “a la carte” menu). The location is at the end of a dead-end road which doesn’t allow excursion vans to reach, which sucks. The reception staff are 18-year olds running the show by themselves the whole day. Also the English understanding level at this property is very limited so you need to have some basic Spanish to be able to communicate really.
