"Fantastic place for the whole family!"
Our family of 4 thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Westin Kierland Villas! I cannot praise the employees enough for their excellent customer service and presence! Lots of activities to keep you busy, or just relax and enjoy some downtime. The accommodations are very well furnished and spacious. The shuttle is a real plus and the location is unbeatable! We would love to stay here again!

Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort and Spa at Gainey Ranch - Scottsdale Hotels

Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort and Spa at Gainey Ranch

"Impressive In Every Way"
I've never bothered to rate a hotel in the past, but the Hyatt Regency at Gainey Ranch deserves some recognition for providing a fantastic experience for our family. Several prior reviews negatively commented on the facilities, although they have been recently updated and are in outstanding condition at this point so the prior reviews might have been accurate in the past, although currently it is a beautiful facility. It is also rated as a 4-star, although suspect that it will be upgraded in the future. The pools are perfect for the kids, the tennis and workout facilities are not only in good shape but provide good access and availability. The tennis program deserves special note - Alex runs an outstanding program for local top juniors and he welcomed our son into the program and gave him as much attention as any of his regular students. The location is perfect as well. Despite being pretty expansive, you can get to restaurants and other amenities pretty quickly if you want to eat outside the resort (although it's tempting to simply sit in the courtyard and listen to their nightly live music while eating every dinner). We have been to resorts all over the world and found this to be one of the nicest we've stayed at in every respect. Hope your stay is as pleasant as ours was.

"Hotel grounds are nice and very well kept. "
Everyone was super nice and accommodating. The food and drink servers at the pool were very attentive, the bar tender at the Lounge not so much- don't remember her name. The guys that drive the golf carts around the resort were very nice and would point out that no extra tip is required since it is included in the daily resort fee. We preferred to walk most of the time instead of using the golf cart service, but I always felt like I was going to be run over since they zoom past you in the golf carts.

"Nice hotel but too smokey"
It was a very beautiful place and the room was very nice and upscale. I had a nice view of Camelback Mountain which I climbed back in December with my 24-year-old daughter so that was nice. The hotel could have let people know there was a big pool party on Saturday that was $50/person. They closed off the main pool and and only this smaller pool area was available. A lot of guests were pretty upset about it. At night after the pool party there were a ton of really drunk 20 something year-old's. It was like Spring break. Pretty crazy.
