Michelle at the front desk, as well as all the staff we encountered, were great. Very accommodating to our requests. The resort, although old, as clean and comfortable. You can see some wear but not bad for the price. I liked the extras - popcorn, DVD/Bluray rentals. We were there celebrating an anniversary and upon arrival, got a bottle of champagne and nice nut/candy tray - very unexpected. Plenty of parking spaces, many with shade. My biggest complaint was when the reservation was made in early June, the staffer said we could have a room on the 2nd floor with double beds. When we checked in, we were told there weren't any and that they had very few to begin with. It was either a king bed on floor 2 or doubles on first floor. We prefer to not hear people above us, so we took the 2nd floor room. Also, I checked several days before to make sure the pool was open and was told it was but that it closed 4 hours earlier then normal due to the virus. Not sure why the virus impacted the pool and hot tub being open. It is a nice location in Scottsdale and was close to both restaurants as well as shopping of all kinds.
