Not bad
Bed was comfy. The room was very dated and not v clean. staff were friendly enough.
I'd say an okay hotel for the money and one night. Location is good
We have stayed at this hotel and always been happy with it. The staff are really friendly and welcoming. Yes it is a little dated but if you want something fancy then pay twice the price elsewhere. For the price on a Saturday night in Norwich it's great. Always very clean and comfy. Nice and quite too, and a few minutes walk to the train station and Riverside. Thanks very much no doubt we'll be back soon!
Loved the property and the staff. Only problem was it was so noisy people ealking past didnt seem to care about others trying to sleep at 2/3am

Below par
The room had no mains water to fill up the kettle only bathroom water, the walls had stains on them.the bar and restaurant wasn’t open so the price wasn’t competitive for a room only. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to friends and family. Norwich as a city is lovely vibrant but would find a different hotel.
The breakfast was good and the staff were friendly enough but the room was so in need of a refresh. Not even a proper wardrobe and the shelves were filthy, toilet was stained and bathroom smelled of damp. Basic was not the word and it wasn't cheap, we'd have paid the same for Premier Inn with a comfy bed, bedside light, proper wardrobe and freshly decorated. We had to have windows open as it was so hot and all we could hear all night was the staff chatting, singing and laughing all night the 1st night then I think all they did the 2nd night was walk in circles around the building, we were opposite the stairs and all we could hear was them talking loudly then when they got back down to the staff quarters we could still hear them. I think the last time I heard them was 5am. We were going to spend the day around the City before we headed home but we were so exhausted we just couldn't wait to get home. Fawlty Towers was like the Ritz compared to this place.

Cheap and cheerful
Nice lady at check in. Check in was quick. Room was clean and sufficient. Bathroom dated but did the job. Free parking a massive bonus. Close to good pub.
The staff are lovely. But the hotel is in need of a deep clean and a renovation. The rooms are dated and not very clean the shower is woeful. If no other choice and happy to accept it for its flaws then it’s okay
Good points - close to town, free parking, got upgraded to a family room from twin, friendly.
It would be perfect for people just needing a bed for a night out. Bed was amazingly comfy!
Not so good points - Rooms could do with an upgrade, worn and a bit knackered. Used discount vouchers, not sure I would stay there again full price.
Hotel very well worn cleanliness not the best won’t be stopping again

Great location
Lovely welcome very helpful very nice home cooked breakfast. Location perfect for the town centre being a short walk. Hotel unfortunately was very run down. Recently had a terrible flood so the hotel smelt very damp and musty. Awaiting a much needed complete renovation.

Nice hotel in a good location. Walkable to the city centre and close to plenty of restaurants. With good level of parking space and friendly hotel staff. The cleanliness of the hotel however needs improving.

Not worth the money. At all. Will not be staying here again. Creaky bed. Tv remote didn’t work. No chair in the room. Noisy hotel.
Lovely little hotel at a bargain price. We stayed for just one night while we visited family in the area. 3 double rooms were basic but had tea making facilities and a working tv. The bathroom was equipped with a bath and a shower. Exactly what I needed. They where extremely clean and the bed was very comfortable. All the staff where very polite and welcoming, check in and out was made to be very simple. Only negative I could possibly comment on was the hotel being slightly outdated but it didn't affect our stay in the slightest. Will definitely book again. Thank you.
This is marketed as a 3-star hotel, but the place is quite run down. Our room door was open when we arrived, the floors hadn't been vacuumed, and the overall impression was very shabby. The shower took ages to get hot water through, and then it was either cold or too hot to stand under - though the shower head holder was broken so you couldn't stand under it anyway. We only needed a place to sleep so this didn't ruin our stay, and had we expected a budget hotel I wouldn't be writing this review. However, for the price paid it was extremely disappointing.
